Chapter 16

BRADEN

     I can't believe it, I was mated to a human. Atticus runs on four in a bullet speed.

"So what if she's a human," Atticus said.  "I should not be mated to a human," I replied. I am the strongest alpha with the largest pack in the whole of England. 

"Yeah we're strong, we can protect her," he added. I shake my head. "Once my enemy finds out her existence they will target her," I told him. 

Atticus growled in my head. He doesn't like the idea that someone will hurt our mate. 

"I will reject her," I said. "You can't do that," Atticus objects.

I don't want a weak mate, Pepper is there she can be my chosen Luna," I replied. 

"Try to reject my Luna and you will not like the consequences," Atticus warned before she retreats to the back of my head.

"Atticus!" I shouted, but he didn't respond. 

"Damn it!" I cursed. 

"Why do these things happen to me, first you took my twin brother from me, then you gave me a human mate," I shouted. 

"Your so cruel, moon goddess!" I cursed.

"I will not accept her!" I shouted, and then shifted to my wolf. I run towards the packhouse.

In my wolf form, I arrived in 10 minutes. 

"Alpha, the luna is now taken care of in the infirmary," Jaxon's mind linked me.

I shifted back to my human form and walk naked to my room. My head is aching, I need a drink. 

I rested my tired back in my bed after I grab a clean boxer from my closet. The beautiful face of my mate lingered in my mind. Damn! I cursed in mind when I remembered her pain when I found out that she was human, and she's feaking bleeding earlier. I should be the one taking care of her. I got up and was about to walk towards the door when it opened. 

My face frowned when I saw Pepper almost naked in her body-tight dress that shows her cleavage and barely covered her ass.

"What are you doing here?" I asked her. She smiled seductively and lift her hand with beer.

"I think my Alpha needs me," she whispered. I was about to push her when she suddenly kiss my lips.

"Take me now Alpha, I miss you," she said after she parted our lips, and then she started to remove her dress. She took my hands and brought them to her breast. 

I felt my body headed. Our mate needs us, go to mate! Atticus said in mind. Then I lose myself when she massages my groin. I moaned with the sensation. In a blink, I toss her to bed and pressed my body against her. 

Then our moans and groans filled my room. 

JADE

 I shook my head at what I saw. I turn around.

"Where are you?" I mind linking my mate. "I'm here in the Infirmary with Wil and the Luna," he replied. My face frowned. 

"What are the three of you doing there?" I asked and fasten my walk to the pack's infirmary.

"Luna and Wilson were attacked by rouges on the southern border," he replied. 

"What?" I scoffed. "How's the luna?" I asked. "She's fine had some minor wounds," he replied.

"Okay, I'll be there," I mind linking him back. "Okay, babe!" Jaxon said. 

I heaved a deep breath, should I tell the luna what I saw? Damn! that asshole, his mate is here wounded but his busy fucking a whore. 

I saw the room where Luna, Wilson, and my mate were. I smiled at the three of them.

I walked towards Allison with a bandage on her arm " How are you?" I asked and hug her. She smiled bitterly. I knew that she was a human but I sense something about her.

"He doesn't want me?" she sobs. I rub her back. That asshole! I cursed in mind. I look at my mate. He has sorry in his eyes. 

"Your alpha is fucked up!" I mind linking him. "Yes, he is," he agreed. 

"Everything will be fine, Alli. Just give him time," Wilson said. Allison nodded her head and smiles at us.

"Talk to him, just give him time, for now, you can stay in my room," I told her. She smiled at me and nodded her head. 

We heard a knock at the door. The doctor came and smiles at us. "The luna was fine, had some minor wounds but it will soon, she needs to take these antibiotics and pain relievers," she added. 

"Thank you, Doctor," Allison said. "A pleasure to serve the Luna, Beta, and Gamma, if you'll excuse me," she said and bowed her head before leaving the room.

"Let's go!" Wilson said. I ushered Allison down from ber. I feel sympathy for her. 

"Talk to your Alpha. What kind of mate he is? Letting alone his mate here while he having fun with his whore," I mind linking Jaxon

"Tsk!" Jaxon. "You know what kind of ass he is, don't tell this to the Luna, she's still on recovery," he added. 

I closed the mind link without replying to him. I am still pissed with the Alpha.

"Jerk!" I squealed.  

ALLISON

'Our mate, he's with someone,' Masha said. I took a deep breath, I felt the pain of betrayal.

'I knew that his mad that's why his doing that,' I replied. ' Such a dickhead, my mate Atticus is mad at him too, such a jerk,' Masha growled inside my head.

'Be calm, let's give him time,' I said. Masha rolled her eyes before shutting down our link.

"How are you feeling, Luna?" the pack's doctor ask. I smiled at him. " A bit painful but I can manage," I replied to him. 

"You need to stay here for three days Luna. I'll prescribe you Ibuprofen for pain and you need to come back here after a week to check your wound?" he said. I nodded my head. " For now, I'll take my leave now, I still have patients to check," he excuses himself. "Thank you, Doctor," I told him before he left my room.

I looked at my arms, the burning sensation is nothing from the thought that my mate was in the arms of a whore while I am here still recovering from the wound that I inflected to myself.

I can't help my tears from falling down my face, I flinched when I heard a knock on the door.

I wipe the tears. " Come in!" I said. Then Jade came in with a smile and a concern looked on her face. She ran and hugged me. "Jaxon's mind links me about what happened," she said. I smiled at her. 

"How are you?" She asked and her eyes were checking my body. "I am fine, the Doctor gave me a pain reliever for my wounds," I replied. Jade took a deep breath. "I am glad that Wil was there," she said. I nodded at her. "Yeah, he saved me," I told her.

"Don't ever try to go back there again, it's not safe for us, especially to you, Luna," she added. 

"I just got curious, we didn't expect that we step into the forbidden land of the pack," I lied to her. Jade nodded her head and smile at me. I felt a bit guilty when I looked at her guilty face.  couldn't tell her since Jaxon is her mate, Braden might know my secrets.

 "I wasn't able to talk with your doctor," she said. "He said I need to stay here for three days, he gave me pain reliever," I said. She nodded her head. "Then I will be your nurse until your recovery Luna," she said with a smile on her face. 

"Thank you, Jade, it means a lot to me," I sincerely told her.

"I must take care of the Luna, and we're friends now," Jade said. I was touched by what she said. "Thank you," I replied. 

"You better rest now, I'll just come back with your favorites," she said. I smiled. Jade bowed her head before she exited my room.

Three Days Later.......

"Are you ready, Luna?" Wil asked. I nodded my head at him. My neck was almost breaking while looking at the hallway, waiting for my mate to come. "he's not coming!" Wil said. I looked at him. He has a dark aura, balled fist, and a clenched jaw. His mad about something.

I knew it, about his alpha's doing. For three days of my stay in the infirmary, he didn't bother to visit me. He's been busy fucking his whore and drowning himself in alcohol.

"Such a scumbag" Masha uttered. "I'll rip his head if he's not my mate," she added. 

"Don't mind her, we know what to do if our mate will not stop his being an asshole," I replied to her. "yeah, well going to find my other mate, Argon," she said that making my eyes wide. 

"You know where he is?" I asked. Masha shakes her big head. "No, I just talk to him." She told. "what?" you revealed yourself to him?" I asked her. "Yeah, because, unlike your mate herm, his human counterpart is longing for his mate, he's lonely and in pain," she replied.

I felt sad about what Masha told me. "Let's go, Luna," I was back to my senses when Wil called me. I smiled at him. "Are you okay?" he asked. I nodded my head, "It's a wolf thing," I replied to him. Wil chuckled.

"I don't know what will that ass react when he finds out your secret," he whispered. 

"What secret?" a female voice behind our back. I  heard Masha growl in my head. 

I look at her and saw the smirk on her face. "So, the useless Luna is now out of her expensive comfort zone," she said. 

"You better know your place Pepper," Wil said with gritted teeth. Pepper just glared at him.

"Why? Did your Alpha tells you whose your Luna is now?"  she said. My face frowned. 

"Yes and she's right beside me," Wil answered. "Will see to that once your Alpha announces it today," she confidently said before she turned her back on us.

"Whatever she's telling Luna, it must be a lie," Wil said. I smiled at him. Will ushered me out of the infirmary. Jaxon and Jade were waiting outside. They had wide smiles on their faces. I am also welcomed by other pack members with smiles and well wishes.

"We better keep going, Luna," Jade said while Jaxon get her things, She nodded her head and says her goodbyes to the nurses who take care of her.

The smiles on their face were gone when they saw Braden and Pepper kissing each other.

"Alpha, what are you doing?" Will asked. Braden look at him and shifted his gaze to me. I felt his cold stares at me. 

"Kissing your Luna, Gamma," he calmly said. His eyes bore at me. "What the-?" Jade said while the two guys were shocked their mouth was still hanging.

"You know what are you saying?" Jaxon interjected. Braden looked at him with a clenched Jaw. "Since your Luna is a human, she is incapable of leading this pack, so I announce to everyone that Pepper is my chosen Luna since she has the Beta blood, and suits for the Luna position," Braden announced. His eyes roamed around the pack. 

I maintained my stoic expression, cold and unreadable. I felt the pack's eyes on me. 

"Are you out of mind Braden?" Wil shouted at him. Braden's eyes turned to icy blue, as his wolf resurface. "Don't ever question your Alpha, gamma," he shouted with his alpha tone. Everyone flinched except me. 

"I am sorry, Alpha, but I think you've been unfair with the Luna," Wil said even his neck in submission.

"I'm just giving her mercy, she might be even dead when there's a rouge attack," Braden continued. I feel hurt by his words. I can't believe that I was mated with a pathetic mate.

"I hope you will not regret what you're saying Alpha," Will added. 

"Enough, gamma!" he said. As of today your Luna Allison will be stripdown from her position being the Luna of this pack, she will be part of the Omega," he announced.

"That's too much, Alpha!" Will said in his wolf voice. 

Braden punches him in the face. "That's enough, let your alpha do what he wants, from now on I disowned him as my mate," I said and leave them. I went to the Omega room.

"Let me rip his head and his mistress," Masha said. "Don't mind them," I replied. "He was just clouded by anger," I added. 

"I will make sure that you will regret this Braden," I whispered.
