Aria dragged her hands down her face, a frustrated groan escaping her lips. “Damn it… I can’t believe I missed that,” she muttered, pacing the room like a restless storm. “So much has happened—my mind’s been everywhere. But now I remember. My dad… he mentioned a place I’d never forget. He said he buried something there—documents. The poison weakened me so much, I forgot all about it until now.”

“Poison?!” Diana gasped, her eyes wide with horror. Though Aria wasn’t her blood, the bond they shared was as deep as any mother-daughter connection.

“That bastard Elliot did it!” Cecil snapped, her voice sharp with fury. She didn’t hesitate to recount every harrowing detail to her parents, how Aria collapsed, how the betrayal unraveled, how close they came to losing her.

Aria held up a hand to calm the rising emotion. “I’m fine now. Yesterday was supposed to be the final cleansing. But… Shaman Orun messaged today. He wants to do one last ritual. Just to make sure the spell is fully purged.”

Aria's POVNina came barreling toward me just as Diana and I were setting up the grill. Her tiny arms flew around my legs, and I caught her mid-run with a laugh.“Auntie! Auntie Sam said we’re having a party!” she squealed, bouncing with excitement in my arms.Seeing her was like breathing again after drowning. After the kind of day we had. The paperwork, spreadsheets, heavy emotions—her smile cut through everything like sunlight in a storm. When the weight of missing my parents creeps in, it’s Nina who drags me back into the light. That child is pure magic.Behind her, I spotted the others making their way down from the main villa. Sam, Matilda, and Dr. Hanes were chatting like old friends, while Maria trailed behind, winded from chasing Nina.“Where are the ingredients?” I heard Cecil ask, hands on her hips as she eyed the firepit setup.“With the boys,” Sam replied, nodding toward the villa.I turned back to Nina and brushed a few strands of hair from her forehead. “Hey, I made br

Julian's POVEveryone heads back to the guest villa, their laughter and chatter fading into the background. Everyone except the three of us—me, Julian, and Jacob. We were left behind to haul the meat, the ingredients, and a stack of chairs for the bonfire. But as we approach the dancing flames of the bonfire and the familiar crackle of the grill, something hits me.Hard...I freeze. It’s not just a pause—it’s like my entire system slams into a wall of instinct. My pulse spikes. My muscles coil tight.Julian bumps into me. “What is it?” he asks, adjusting the crate in his arms.I didn't answer right away. I took a deep inhale. Once. Twice. Then my jaw locks.“That scent…” I mutter, something in me awakened.Julian lifts his head, sniffing the air. “I just smell charcoal and grilled meat,” he says, brows furrowing.“No,” I growl. “There’s something else—someone else.”Jacob smirks. “Well, I definitely smell jasmine. My mate. Damn, she smells like a fairytale.”Julian groans behind us. “

  • Saving My Rejected Mate   102. Reunion

Sam had pulled up a chair beside Aria and Cecil, diving into the sea of financial documents that Aria, Aunt Katarina, and Cecil’s parents had gathered before. The villa had become a makeshift war room. Paper trails, ledgers, encrypted files—everything laid bare under their scrutiny.Just like during breakfast, Jacob had insisted on taking over the kitchen, feeding them before they buried themselves in work again. By the time darkness blanketed the villa, they were still at it, eyes tired, minds sharp.A sudden knock shattered the silence.“I got it,” Cecil said, standing up. “Probably one of the maids calling us for dinner.”She opened the door casually, but what waited on the other side knocked the breath from her lungs.“Mom… Dad…” she whispered. Then the dam broke.Tears spilled down her cheeks as she flung herself into their arms, sobbing like a child torn from home for far too long. Her cries weren’t quiet; they echoed in the whole guest villa, sharp and raw, drawing the others t

  • Saving My Rejected Mate   101. Distraction

Aria rose from her seat, her eyes glued to her phone, fingers dancing swiftly across the screen. She didn’t utter a single goodbye. No parting words—just a faint, involuntary smile curving her lips, betraying the storm of emotions running beneath her calm exterior.Cecil watched her silently, brows drawing together. “Where are you going?” she asked.Aria didn’t answer. She simply lifted her hand in a vague wave before slipping out of the room, the faintest blush still dusting her cheeks.Sam leaned back in her chair, smirking. “It’s Mason, I’d bet my fortune on it.” She stood, stretching lazily. “I’ve got a Federation report to finish. Catch you two later,” she said, already halfway out the door before either of them could respond. Now only two remained.Cecil let out a quiet sigh and turned—only to catch a pair of intense eyes watching her. Her skin prickled. Slowly, she met Jacob’s gaze.He was propped on his elbows, chin resting on his folded hands, wearing an expression far too wa

  • Saving My Rejected Mate   100. Memory of Last Night

Aria woke with a dull ache radiating through every inch of her body. She blinked, confused for a moment, scanning her surroundings. Her room. Her bed. Her body… fully clothed in the pajamas she remembered putting on the night before.A sharp frown creased her brow.“Was it just a dream?” she whispered, pressing a palm to her chest as her pulse kicked up. “Maybe… maybe the soreness is just from training with Cecil…”But doubt slithered through her thoughts like smoke. Her skin still tingled… as if someone had touched her. Possessed her. Branded her.Shaking her head, she threw the covers off and padded out of the room, lured by the scent of strong coffee and something sizzling in the kitchen. And then, she froze.Jacob—barefoot, broad-shouldered, and wearing a ridiculous apron—was standing over the stove, flipping pancakes with the ease of a man who didn’t belong in kitchens, yet made it look dangerous. His presence alone shifted the room’s atmosphere. Aria's gaze flicked to the dinin
