25: Not All The Same

I was thinking of what to do with myself, and how to face Jason this morning when I heard a knock on my door. At first, I strayed frozen in place before I got off the bed and went to open the door.

After what happened last night with Jason. I’ve learnt to not just let anyone walk in without asking who it is, or getting the door myself.

I first opened the door, barely enough to peep outside.

“Will you open the door or do I have to climb up the window?”

The familiar voice makes me pull the door open with so much force, it is a surprise I didn’t smack myself in the face.

Zeke stood in the hall, his hands folded behind him.

I run to hug him but he steps aside.

“Hey, what’s wrong? Didn’t you miss me?” I asked in a teasing tone.

He stares me down, before huffing dramatically and walking into the room.

“Okay….”I drawl, following him inside.

He is upset and I understand.
