14. Little Talks!

"Who did this to you?"

Skyler asked.

"I got injured during practice, it's nothing big."

Rosetta replied nonchalantly. 

"Hmm"

Skyler looked at her for a second and stood up.

"We'll take these... Show me the rings..."

He ordered the manager. 

Rosetta quickly changed the dress and came back where Skyler was choosing Rings. 

"See this one..."

He showed her the couple rings.

Rosetta looked at it. The ring had huge sparkling diamond on it. It's light was reflecting in the whole room. 

"It's too big..."

She said. 

"You are going to be my wife Rosetta... You have to get comfortable with these things, you are going to be The Donna..."

Skyler said.

"I have already made myself clear that I won't change my lifestyle... I can't show off just because I am your wife. This is not me..."

She replied firmly. 

"I know, I am not telling you to change yourself completely... I am not loving either but I am doing it in front of everyone, right?... We agreed to convince each other's family... I can't lack in anything. If I want to make my mother believe that I am crazily in love with you then I have to buy you all these things... And you have to wear it in front of everyone. What you want to do after that is your choice.."

He explained.

"Just don't let them suspect our relationship, it will create lot of problems for me. Behave normal, act like you love my touch. Everytime I touch you, you went stiff and your face turns horrifying... I am not going to cross my limits, just relax... This marriage is important for me, I don't want to marry some other stupid and annoying or gold digger bitch. You are perfect for me..."

"Fine, we'll take this ring..."

She sighed. 

"But I will pay the bill..."

Skyler gave her blank look. 

"Not happening..."

"Why not?... Skyler, I don't even like taking money from my own father, and you are no one to me. I can't let you pay my bills..."

She clearly denied. 

"It's a ritual in our family... Bridal accessories and dress comes from the groom..."

He stated. 

"There is nothing like that..."

She gave him 'I am not believing you' look. 

"Fuck, I thought you are the silent one... You actually fight a lot... Your mother wasn't protesting against your father like this, I have seen their relationship..."

Skyler frowned. 

"She was working for my dad, she was his bodyguard whom he purchased by millions of dollars... She had to follow his orders Even when she was against it... I am not your bodyguard, I can't listen to you blindly..."

She replied calmly. 

"Is that what you think?... That your mother used to listen to your father because he was her boss... Is that why you don't believe in love?"

He asked looking at her softly. 

Rosetta sighed. 

"Some or other way, he manipulated her life... He made her fall for him and she took her protective behavior as love for him. Everyone can see that he is obsessed with her, it's not love... And if it's love then I don't want that in my life... They have named their obsession as love..."

Skyler could see disappointment on her face and she wasn't fan of her parents relationship. 

"Their relationship is more than that Rosa... I have seen it. I have witnessed it. I am close to your mother like you can't even imagine. May be she doesn't show it in front of you or your family but the lead of their relationship is Rose and not your father... Your father does not control your mother, she controls your father. Even if it's obsession, it's not abusive... Your mother was in love with your father since she was 5 years old, she came back to his life with intention to protect him... Don't you know that___"

"What?"

Rosetta looked at him with expressions of shock and disbelief. Skyler had no idea that Rosetta doesn't know anything about her parents past. They kept all the secrets and pain to themselves. She does know the basic things but not dark secrets.

Skyler closed his eyes in regret.

"Forget I said something like that..."

He said looking away when he realised that, he said something which he shouldn't have. 

He placed card on the counter. 

"Sir, it will be 5 million... This card has limits..."

The manager informed. 

Skyler took that card back and gave him his black card. 

Rosetta shook her head for waste of money but it wasn't big concern for her now. She wasn't fan of her parents relationship and that was the main thing which changed her view about love. She has seen her mother following her father blindly. She always puts him first, even before herself. She has almost died for him And he controls her life. He doesn't like it when she talks to other men or Jackson. He doesn't leave her alone even for a second and Rosetta thinks these are all restrictions. He is great father but she doesn't like him as her mother's husband. She has judged their relationship. But if, what Skyler is saying is true then she was judging their relationship wrongly. They have past about which she has no idea.

"It will be delivered to the respective address... Once again congratulations to the couple..."

The manager greeted them. 

Skyler started walking outside ignoring Rosetta and she followed him. 

"Skyler..."

She called him but He didn't answer. 

"You have to answer me... What was their past and how do you know?... Why you are close to my mother, the way I am not..."

Rosetta stumbled forward due to cramp in her leg, the soreness was still there. Skyler quickly grabbed her and held her against his car. 

"End this topic here Rosetta... I shouldn't have said that. If you doesn't know then your parents must have kept it away from you for a reason. I can't tell you this without their permission, it's not my place to tell. I hope you will respect my choice. Whatever relationship you have with your parents is not my business, forget I tried to ask..."

He let go her arms gently. 

Rosetta nodded in understanding. 

"Drop me home..."

She was exhausted. 

Skyler scoffed.

"No way... You can't leave in the middle of shopping..."

"But everything is done..."

She frowned. 

"Do you want me to go to the aisle Naked... Well I won't mind, I have sexy body but it's against the theme..."

He mocked and she rolled her eyes. 

"We have to buy my clothes..."

He placed his hand on the car door beside her face and leaned closer. 

Rosetta pulled her face away and frowned at him. His face was inch away from hers.

"If you were my girl, you wouldn't be able to sit for a week... Don't roll your beautiful eyes at me..."

He whispered in her ear. 

"What does it mean?"

She asked confused and he looked adoringly at her innocent question.

'ohh, you don't want to know...'

He thought.

"Let's have lunch first, we can shop after that...."

He replied smirking and opened the car door for her. 

Skyler took her to the restaurant. Rosetta noticed that even if she means nothing to him, he was respectful towards her. He was treating her like gentleman. He opened car doors for her and also pulled chair for her. 

Rosetta wasn't used to this. 

She politely thanked him and sat down.

"What you want to eat?"

He asked.

"Something healthy..."

She replied. 

Skyler ordered their food and leaned back in his chair. 

"So you never had boyfriend?"

He questioned curiously. 

Rosetta promptly looked away. 

"You can't guess like this..."

She mumbled. 

Skyler Smirked.

"Rosa..."

He leaned forward while resting his hands on the table. 

"You are virgin... I know... I am a very experienced man my dear soon to be wife. So don't challenge my assumptions..."

He said cockily. 

"I was more focused on martial arts. I am tomboy. My father is Mafia whom all boys feared. My brothers were in same class as mine who did everything to keep boys away from me. And teenage boys are annoying... Are these reasons enough?"

She replied calmly. 

Skyler chuckled.

"Sorry to hear that... You missed all the fun..."

"I don't mind... I told you, I am not interested in teenage boys..."

She shrugged. 

"So you like man... Daddy... Huh?"

Skyler teased and Rosetta cleared her throat awkwardly. She couldn't deny the fact that she is more interested in mature men than boys. 

"You know we have 5 years age difference."

He winked. 

"Are you flirting with me?"

She questioned and he chuckled.

"This is not how I flirt baby... Trust me you don't want to know... Or may be I can show you..."

He leaned closer to her face. 

"Why are you single if you are expert in these things?"

She questioned while leaning back and maintaining distance. 

Skyler Scowled.

"Because I don't have time for relationships... Why do you need girlfriend when you can have sex with different girl everyday..."

"Is that it?... You need girls just for sex..."

She questioned.

Skyler sighed.

"I'll be honest, Rosa. I can't be emotionally available for anyone. Love is not my thing, I have cleared that in very first meeting. And about sex then yes, I have needs but I don't force anyone. If girl is ready then only I take things further. I am not using anyone. I respect consent... If girls doesn't agree with my conditions then I never look at them twice... I have to kill and torture people everyday and after that I won't be able to gentle with some girl."

He explained and she nodded in understanding. 

Their food arrived and they started eating silently. 

"Sky!... Oh my god!"

Their eyes snapped towards the feminine voice. 

Rosetta looked at the girl who was smiling brightly at Skyler. She was wearing white short dress with high heels, she was beautiful with model like features. Her hair was short and blonde. 

"Crystal..."

Skyler said and Rosetta looked at him.
