Payne walked into my office, holding some documents. He submitted them on my table and I sat properly to view them. I dropped my half spent cigarette on the table, burning away. As I flipped through the documents, Payne picked up the cigarette and threw it inside the ashtray. Typical assistant, he always knew what to do.

“This is… how I put it?” I thought for a moment. “I believe the word is tacky. What team is responsible for this stupid idea?”

“Team D, sir,” Payne replied. “If I could explain on their behalf, I would say that the current trend makes it inevitable to…”

“Nothing is inevitable to me, not in my own company,” I told him with a firm voice. “I am the CEO of Duck Entertainment. I own sixty five percent of the company shares, more than half. I am in full control here.”

“I am fully aware of that, sir. All I'm saying is at the end of the day, our production is for the audience. I feel we should be more flexible so as to cater for the changing audience. This idea by Team D

    Amelia drove me to the place where I was shooting my first scene. I had memorized my lines and even done practice with the other actors but I was still nervous. After all, I had never been involved in something so big like this. On the way, I saw Amelia keep glancing at me. “Focus on driving only. It's best for the safety of both of us,” I told her calmly. “I understand,” she replied. “However, I think you need to lighten up. It's your first shoot and I know you have high hopes for it. However, being nervous will make you prone to mistakes.” I smiled, “You think I'm nervous?” “It seems like you are,” she replied skeptically. “Maybe I am,” I sighed. Amelia didn't know but today's shoot was the least of my concerns. I had been giving Julian an attitude since yesterday, following what Maggie had said. I knew I was being played by her but I didn't know a better way right now. Julian wasn't the type to be threatened. If he heard about it, he would probably tell Maggie to do her worst.
