Paul's POV:

Paul had been seeing fragments for weeks now… blurry snippets of memories he couldn’t quite place. Dreams came in flashes, voices muffled like they were speaking through water, feelings heavy like fog. But today was different.

That morning, he had gone farther than usual during his daily run through the dense forest surrounding the pack’s retreat. His instincts pushed him past the familiar path, deeper into the trees where the air felt different—charged, like it carried a message.

Something was calling to him.

The deeper he ran, the stronger the pull became. His heart raced, not from exertion but from anticipation. Trees thinned, the light shifted, and a strange energy hung in the air like mist.

And then, he stopped.

A shimmer—barely visible, but present—stretched before him like an invisible wall. Paul extended his hand toward it, and the second his fingers touched the space, a jolt shot through his body. Not painful, but firm. Final.

He stepped back, breathless.

  • Scar : the rejected Luna   147. Caged!

Author's POV: Lexie jolted upright, breath snagging in her throat as if she had just clawed her way out of a nightmare. Her body ached in a dozen places she couldn’t name, and her skin was slick with sweat. The world around her swam in shades of sterile white and soft amber… curtains gently swayed at the windows, and the low hum of machines punctuated the silence. She blinked, chest heaving, heart racing with terror, anticipation and confusion. This wasn’t her room. The air smelled of herbs and antiseptic, but she didn't remember anything that would have ended up with her near either of those things. Her hands twitched and she looked down, IV lines threaded into her skin, tape pressed tightly across the crook of her elbow. And that's the moment her eyes landed on Jonas who was standing there, arms crossed, as if he jad been waiting for this very moment for ages. His eyes were dark with exhaustion but sharp, calculating. And behind them… something else. But Lexie didn't want to

  • Scar : the rejected Luna   146. Crossing the line*

Jonas' POV:I should’ve walked away. I should have pushed her off me, shut this down, locked the damn door and buried the feelings. But the second her lips touched mine, the second her fingers curled into my shirt like she would drown if she let me go… I was lost.I slammed her back against the cupboard. She gasped as the wood jolted behind her, her legs wrapping around my waist without hesitation. I kissed her like I hated her for making me need this. For being the one thing I couldn’t have.“Katrine…” I growled, voice low and guttural. “You don’t know what you are doing.”“Yes, I do.” She pulled me closer, desperate. “I have always known, Jonas… but why don't you? Why don't you see how badly I've been craving you? Ever since… since that day, you haven't touched me and I've spent every day craving for the same touch.”I crashed my mouth into hers again, and she clung to me like I was the only solid thing in her world. The taste of her, the feel of her… god! It was as addicting as

Jonas' POV:The healer’s face was set in a grim line, and my legs pushed me forward before I could even think. “Why! What… what happened? Is she… is Lexie going to be okay? You just said her wounds will heal right? Then what–”He gave a slow nod, but his eyes didn’t relax. “She is pregnant.”The air left my lungs like I’d been sucker punched. “Pregnant?” My voice cracked. “But… how? I mean—Is she okay? Is the baby okay? I mean… she had a miscarriage a few months ago… is that going to have any negative effect?”His expression turned serious. “Your concern is very valid, my Lord.”I swallowed hard. My hands curled into fists at my sides.“She is in a very critical stage right now. We need to be extremely cautious. Any stress, physical or emotional, could be dangerous. She must be kept away from anything that might destabilize her, conflict, strain, even overthinking.”I nodded, but I wasn’t hearing half of it. I just saw her pale face, that haunted look she wore when she lost the last

  • Scar : the rejected Luna   144. The Library

Paul's POV:The old healer’s library smelled like cedarwood and mildew. It was dusty and tucked away at the edge of the village like an afterthought. But it called to me.I wasn't supposed to be here. The villagers always murmured that the room was sacred, reserved for the bloodline of the healers. But I had long stopped caring for rules. Especially now… and especially after what I had done to the rogues. My body still ached from the way my bones had shifted, from the strength that had surged through me like fire in my veins. Alpha strength. And I knew.I knew they were hiding something. The library was dark, lit only by narrow streams of moonlight seeping through a cracked window. Shelves leaned with the weight of old scrolls, brittle tomes, inked records in languages I didn’t recognize. But one thing stood out. It was tucked discreetly at the back, but I pulled out the scroll to be able to see more clearly… my idea was right, it was a map.I pulled it from beneath a stack of dried

  • Scar : the rejected Luna   143. Protect her

Jonas’ POV:I leaned my head back against the cold wall and let out a slow breath.I was older now.Stronger.Wiser.I wasn’t that scared, clueless boy anymore…staring at his sister’s locked door, confused by her silence and terrified of her pain. I was the captain of the rouges now. The man built from every mistake I ever made with Lexie. And now that Paul was finally out of the picture, now that I had the reins again, I was going to do what I should’ve done a long time ago.Protect her.She would never have to settle again. She had stayed with Paul because she had no one. Because she thought there was no way back home to her family, and this was the only love she was going to receive. But now, she had me. And I would make it right. I would find her someone worthy. A mate who would worship the ground she walked on. One who would never let her cry herself to sleep, or flinch at a raised voice. One who would love her the way she deserved to be loved. This was the beginning of a new c

  • Scar : the rejected Luna   142. My Sister

Jonas' POV: I paced the corridor like a man possessed. The wooden floor creaked beneath my boots with every step, but I didn’t care. The damned healers were taking too long. Far too long. What was going on in there? What were they doing to her? Lexie. My only sister. My hands clenched and unclenched at my sides, nails biting into my palms. I had faced rogue armies, signed death warrants, and stood stone-faced in blood-soaked war rooms, but nothing—nothing—prepared me for this kind of helplessness. The kind where your heart’s on the other side of the door and you’re not allowed in. They all call me cruel. They say I’m heartless, ruthless, a tyrant with no soul. Let them say it. Let them believe I’m made of ice. Because if the world thinks I’m a monster, then maybe it will think twice before ever laying a hand on my sister again. But truth? I was never cruel to her. Not to Lexie. I’ve never abandoned her. She was the light in a house that had too many shadows. I still rem
