Chapter Thirty Five - No more lies!

I just sat on a chair at the table with my head in my hands and a warm cup of instant coffee next to me. I really wish it didn't need to come to this, I didn't want to leave Scarlett, but I was out of options. I feel like all I have done since I left is think about what I have had to leave behind, mainly Scarlett.
I'm not sure how long I'm going to be able to hide out here for, but I do have enough supplies to do me at least two weeks and a handful of books to read.
I wish there were a way to contact people back home, but I worry that the people after me could be watching them.
This isn't the first time I have been on the run, and usually, I just get on with it, but it was different now. I had friends. I had Scarlett. I had a life, unlike those other times. I now remember why I don't let people close because your past always catches up eventually and puts those who we care about
