Zahra's POV

The moment my breathing steadies, Edwardo explodes forward, crossing the distance faster than I expect. I drop low, pivoting on my toes to slide under his arm, but Henry is already there, blocking my escape. He sweeps my legs from beneath me, yet I twist as I fall, landing on my hands and flipping backward before either man can pin me.

A rumble of approval rolls through the onlookers.

I refuse to come down. Instead, I use the momentum to launch higher, spinning mid-air before letting Zanthe fully take over.

My body shatters. Fur rips through flesh, bones stretching and reshaping in seconds. Zanthe completes the shift before she even hits the ground. She lands, paws thudding against the earth, claws digging into the dirt as she skids back a few feet. I push forward to join her in this form, the merged state still disorienting but easier than it used to be.

Gasps ripple through the audience.

“Shit,” someone mutters.
