Chapter 54

Max, Owen, and Hayden beat them up, one man for each. But this time, Homer asks a few questions while Hugo puts his hands on his hips, standing beside the three of them. He sometimes walks up to one of them if he's not satisfied with the answers they give, which is almost every time.

Homer had to stretch his arms, telling Hugo to step back while saying. "Don't kill them just yet."

Jefferson shuddered, still unfamiliar with all this mafia stuff.

"So it was just the three of you? That's impossible."

Owen kicked the man before him as he stared, his eyes still on Jefferson peeking behind Homer's broad shoulders. Hugo glanced at Jefferson. A few moments later, he kicked that man's head hard until blood poured from his nose; he was sprawled and didn't move.

Homer took a deep breath. "Hugo, please calm yourself," he said.

Hugo chuckled in annoyance. He looked at Homer, then turned his body to face Homer's desk, stacked his hands together, and looked down.
