I Hate You, Boss!

02

Alessia’s Point Of View:

“Are you a stalker or what?” I accused as I put my arms on my waist.

Huh! If only I know, he’s also one of the guys who would go crazy over me to the point that they will stalk me wherever I go.

I remember one time when I was going home from school, there’s this guy who is really interested in me but failed to have my attention. He followed me from my way home and oblivious that I know what he’s been doing. I let him follow me until he finally got to know where I lived and that’s when he started grimacing in disgust.

Saying words that ‘You came from a poor family.’ ‘I would never ever waste my time again to you,’ and cursing me because I fooled him.

Humiliating and belittling me because of my lifestyle and that I dissapointed him.

I did got hurt because of what he said but still managed to compose myself and tried my best to fight my tears back. The next day after that, I received a news that he’s now in a relationship with the hot girl in school and even bragged his girl to me telling that his girl is rich unlike me.

I was cut off from my sudden reverie when I saw his sarcastic smirk.

The guy in front of me throws his pen that he was holding on the desk and let his body fall on the swivelling chair. He even intertwined his fingers to each other as he puts it on the top of his crossed legs.

“Where’s my boss? What happened to him? You killed him, don’t you? So that you can take his position.” Alarmed as it was, I said.

My heart continue to beats faster than before every move that he make. I feel like my heart will about to pop out from my ribcage because of the unknown feeling.

His forehead crinkled before wincing at me.

“Are you dumb or what?” His eyes bored into mine giving me a straight-faced look.

“Pardon?” I feel like I’m suddenly became deaf for a minute.

It was like a banging sound in my ears causing me to react late.

“For your information, I graduated with flying colors and received a bachelor’s degree. I am also a consistent top one student in our class and best awardee in the whole campus and yet here you are to call me dumb? Are you insulting yourself?” My eyes turned wild as I darted my gaze to him.

I don’t care anymore if I sounded like I’m boasting myself. I just want him to know who’s dumb between us.

The guy shut his eyes closed and inhaled large amount of air while massaging the bridge of his nose. I witnessed how his adams apple went up and down everytime he swallow causing me to subconsciously reflect his action and also swallow my saliva.

“My company is the top one company in our country. It has been accounted for $4.27 trillion of the top 100's total market cap value, and if you’re telling me that I’m dumb, think twice because handling employees like you makes me stupid than managing my own company.” He said, stressing each and every word to make sure that I understood what he’s trying to imply.

My cheeks starts to turn red as I lowered my eyes to look at the ground, secretly praying and wanting to disappear and hide from embarrassment.

My stomach doing back flips everytime I remember how I boost myself to him, not knowing what to say.

“What ever you say! You’re still not my boss!” I instead hissed just to hide my ass from shame.

Right after saying those words, three knocks coming outside the door echoed the whole place causing my attention to divert into it. The woman who knocked, freely opened the door with folders hugging on her chest.

She walked pleasantly as her attention was all in the folders that she was holding. She stopped after estimating the distance in her mind, an enough space to have a good talk to the guy who’s in front.

“Good morning, Sir Yadiel. I guess our own secretary is late-” she was cut off when I inserted myself.

“Madame!” I blurted out in shock and widened my eyes a bit.

The woman in front of me is the one who interviewed me. She’s in her late 50’s with eyeglasses hanging on her ears. Her hair was completely white together with the crinkles on her face and the slight bump on her back making her to walk slower than she was.

I don’t know how would I react when I literally witnessed how she addressed the guy in front.

“Oh, she‘s here!” The woman’s eyes twinkled and glanced at me.

“What did you call him?” I asked out of the blue, really cannot believed on what she just clearly said earlier.

The guy let out a small chuckle and hide his grin with his fist touching his lower lip. I turned to glare at him before looking back at Madame.

“My mistake. I didn’t get to introduce you to our boss last week.” She even laughed at her own mistake.

I feel like my eyes will about to pop out and gasped in shock.

“Miss Alessia, this is Sir Yadiel, our boss. Sir Yadiel, this is Miss Alessia, your secretary.” Madame gestured her hands from mine to him and from him to mine while introducing us to each other.

Calling all the saints and demons to help me overcome this embarrassment. I even almost tweak my hair out of frustration.

At first, I just want to impress my boss, but seeing this guy in front of me, smirking like crazy as if he won irritates me.

I saw from my peripheral how Madame look at me then glance at the guy who happened to be my boss with so much confusion in the eyes.

“Did you perhaps know each other before?” She crumpled her forehead and waited for our response.

“No-” I didn’t get to finish my answer when he talked.

“Yes,” said by him with a sarcastic smirk plastered on his lips.

I rolled my eyes and crossed my arms on my chest, showing that I’m not affected with the truth that the company that I’m standing on was really his.

A sudden silence echoed the room after he talked as if it’s a sin to make a noise.

"I just remembered! I forgot to check my attendance," Madame snapped when she noticed the tension building up between the two of us and excuse herself immediately.

I don’t know if I should be laughing by now because she’s the one who’s managing the attendance instead of me before shrugging the thought off.

I was also about to exit myself without excusing when suddenly he uttered a word that made my blood boil.

“You’re such a lucky woman to have a position here and I’m such an unlucky guy to have you here,” he slowly voiced out giving every word the same intensity.

I scoffed and rolled my eyes in disbelief.

“As if I want you to be my boss. Dream on, dreamer!” If only I could lift the couch I would gladly do it and throw it to his face.

His jaw locked and gritted his teeth while glaring at me.

“I hate you, boss!” I groaned in annoyance and stomps my feet all the way to the door to exit myself.
