ANA’S POV

My head was banging by the time I woke up. I was almost as if someone was constantly hitting my head with a frying pan. I groaned, managing to open my eyes in the dimly lit room. I tried moving my limbs, but I couldn’t. I looked down, noticing that my legs were tied, and so were my hands, right behind the chair.

Zach was standing by the window, looking outside. My mouth was also stuffed with a cloth, so I couldn’t talk. I didn’t even want to call for his attention in the first place. I tried my best, trying to see if I could untie my hands. But even from the knot that I was feeling, I could tell that it was firmly tied. I was already crying in frustration. The tears flowed down, soaking the gag.

I tried again, mistakenly pushing the chair through the floor. The screeching sound that it made caught Zach’s attention, and he turned to me with a smile.

“Pretty girl, are you awake?” he asked, walking over to where I was. He ran his hands through my face. I looked away, moving

Len's POVA lot was going through my mind as I headed out of the room. Len was at my side immediately.“Did she change her mind?” He asked, and I shook my head. It was useless lying to him. I wanted to stay with him, but even I wanted to think straight. I headed straight for the training grounds again, blocking out every noise, and only focusing on the pain that my knuckles were going through as I punched the sandbag. I was racking my head for ways to stop Selene from getting married to Alpha Zachary. I spotted a few guards hurrying towards the gate, and I frowned. “What happened?” I called out to them, and they managed to slow their pace to answer me. “Rowan is back!” One of them answered, and I could sense the excitement in their voices. “How long?”“About thirty minutes ago.” With that, I waved my hands in the air, for them to keep going their way. I wiped the sweat away from my face as I dropped everything that I had been training with. Rowan was Selene's uncle. He had been

Len’s POVSelene had been hiding herself in the room the whole time. The only person she wanted to see was Anna. I didn’t know what the both of them were hiding or doing behind those closed doors. The only thing I could do was train to push the whole thing out of my mind. I was also trying to find out what had led Selene and Logan to Alpha Damian’s pack. Both Selene and Len were keeping quiet about the whole thing, and I needed to find out about it so bad. All the maids weren’t helping. Nor was Alpha Damian himself. It was almost like he was keeping a secret. He was being so secretive and hostile towards me after Zach had come to save Selene. And so was Selene. The only person that seemed to act normal was Logan. But even he was acting weird from time to time. The last time I saw Selene was when the Elders had called her for a meeting. I called out to her as she walked past, but she was so lost in thought that she didn’t hear me. Or she decided to ignore me. I didn’t know which.I

ANA'S POV I woke up with my arms around Anna. That was the only thing that let me sleep. I didn't cry until she had slept off already. I held on to her little body and cried until my whole body was convulsing. But she was fully asleep, and she couldn't notice. It was fine that way. I didn't want to add her to the list of people that were already worried about me. It was barely thirty seconds since I was awake but a feeling of dread was already over me. I slipped out of bed and hurried to the bathroom. I wanted to wash the feeling of Zach's hands on my skin. It was useless doing that. I was going to be his in a few days anyway. There was no running away from that anymore. It was too late to go back on my word. He had the power to deal with Logan even now. Logan is still a Beta. Always underneath an Alpha. And that was the only advantage that Zach seemed to have. I allowed the cold water to run through my skin and my hair, until my skin turned numb. I tried so hard not to slip down

ANA'S POV I felt my pulse racing. I couldn't accept being his Luna. That was just going to be like falling back into the trap that had been set for me in my old life. I close my eyes. I could already feel myself serving punishments all over again. Zach might be acting like he was head over heels for Selene, but I knew him all too well. He was always moved by the new women in his life. And he always did anything to get them, just as he did to my sister. And now, he wanted to chase her away as well. Who would have thought?Saying ‘No’ was at the tip of my tongue, but I couldn't let it out. As I looked outside, and saw Logan still tied to the huge pole in those chains, I knew that I had to do something. Len was obviously still begging Alpha Damien and I saw the strict and firm shake of his head that made even Len give up. Zach leaned in when I wasn't looking. “You should know… that all it takes is one word from me for them to finish Logan off. And they would do it without hesitation.”

ANA’S POV“What are you doing here?” I asked, and I could see a small smile playing on Len’s lips as he looked up at me. I had to be honest, I hadn’t been more glad to see him in a long time. Even Logan was looking at him like he couldn’t be more proud of his brother.“This was the important meeting I told you that I had to attend,” Len screamed back, loud enough for me to hear. “I had to be here to secure a truce for the pack.”I had no idea that there was some kind of war between the both of us. “He is Alpha Damian,” he said, pointing at the Alpha. “And this is the Greenville pack.”I nodded, looking at Alpha Damian. His lips were in a thin line, and I could tell that he wanted to release us. His hand was already in the air, and I patiently waited for that delicate wave that signified that the guards should let Logan and I go. But then, he slowly lowered his hand, and the smile that was about to come on my lips was cancelled as well. “I want to get them executed still,” Alpha Damia

ANA'S POV Listening to Logan's wordless advice was hard when we were continuously being shoved by the shoulders to move faster than we were already moving. Fighting them was going to be risky. They were more than us. And they were guards. They were probably only doing their jobs. It turned out that their pack wasn't even far away. They dragged us along, right to their throne room. Their Alpha was seated on the chair, as he narrowed his eyes at the both of us. Even through all the chaos, Logan was more concerned with making sure that his jacket covered me properly. His upper body was exposed, as the guards didn't even let him put on his shirt that I was sleeping on. “Who are they?” The Alpha asked his guards. “Spies,” the guards said, kicking Logan's back. He barely even flinched. “And what exactly did you catch us spying on?” Logan asked, and the Alpha looked at the guards, waiting for them to speak. Even they, didn't have anything to say. It was more or less like they just want

ANA'S POV I looked at myself one more time in the mirror. On a normal day, I might have been happy that I looked stunning putting on a burgundy dress that clung to my skin and black heels that screamed elegance. My hair was in a rough bun at the top of my head, and I allowed the loose curls to frame my face. I went with the most minimal amount of makeup which was lipgloss and eyeliner. That was the best I could do. I didn't want to go to that party anyway. For Anna. I continuously whispered. I grabbed my black bag as I headed out. I was thankful that I didn't get to see Len or Logan on my way out. If not, I would have been throwing my shoes off my feet immediately. I spotted Zach's black car as soon as I got outside. He was sitting inside, with his eyes on me like a predator. I opened the door myself, and got in. Somewhere at the back of my mind, I didn't want to start comparing him to Len or Logan and their gentlemanliness. “Good evening, Alpha Selene,” he said in a voice that m

LOGAN'S POV The scream that I heard was unmistakably Anna's. I hurried to the backyard, where the other maids said they were earlier. I wasn't wrong. She was still screaming, while Selene stood there in shock, staring at a cat that laid on the floor… dead. Selene managed to compose herself, as she pulled Anna to herself, trying to comfort the little girl. “What happened?” I asked, and she stared at me, giving me a weird look. “The scones that the maid brought were fucking poisoned. Anna and I almost ate them. Anna would have been in that cat's position.” I heard her voice falter at the end. Even at a time like this, she wasn't even thinking about herself. Why the fuck will she want to eat something that a stranger had given her? What if something else had happened? What if they hadn't fed it to the cat first? “Why would you have something a stranger gave to you?” I asked, and she frowned, holding Anna closer. “You sent her to give them to me,” she said in an accusing tone, and I
