Chapter 8

After breakfast, as Carson had said it, he made sure Lydia went shopping for a few clothes she could wear instead of wearing big old Ma'am Anny's gowns.

Looking at Lydia in the mall, Carson could tell that the woman was scared of selecting the clothes she'll like to buy. He noticed when they stepped into the shop, her eyes caught a beautiful red skirt but when she checked the amount she pulled her hand away so speedily as if the clothes were fire.

Taking note of that particular skirt, he gestured for the sales lady to package that particular skirt without her knowing. Lydia kept walking around the shop without picking anything. She was more concerned about the amount of the outfit.

After a while, she came to stand in front of Carson,

“I don't think they have the kind of clothes I wear, can we go somewhere else?” She asked and he raised his brows,

“Are you sure? I mean, there are a lot of outfits here, and I can see they are beautiful. If you didn't like them, you wouldn't look at
