Talia’s POV

A sharp knock rattled my door. I groaned as I opened my eyes. I had finally gotten to sleep a few hours ago. I laid my head back down on my pillow, hoping whoever was knocking would go away.

Then, there were another couple of knocks. Before I could sit up, the door creaked open and Della stepped in, holding a steaming cup of tea. She quickly closed the door behind her.

“Get up,” she said, “You’re not going to like what I’m going to tell you.”
