Chapter nine

I heaved a sigh, taking a step back to put space between us. His presence was too overwhelming and the scent of him intoxicating. 

"We had an agreement Rain. We have nothing to do with each other after one month but you're clearly breaking the rules of our agreement. Besides if you hadn't lied about your identity, I never would've gotten involved with you." 

His gaze darkened dangerously. "Are you trying to say you regret it?" He closed the gap again, wrapping an arm tightly around my waist while grabbing my chin with his other hand. He leaned forward, his breath a mixture of mint and cigarette fanning against my face as he whispered "I dare you to say you regret it Ayanna_ that you didn't enjoy our passionate kisses, those passionate sex...

"Its all over Rain," I cut him off harshly, trying to push him away but he wouldn't bulge if anything he crushed me against him, his grip on my chin more firmer.

"We had an agreement," I pushed.

"Fuck the agreement. Do you think everything would just go back to normal, that I'd just disappear from your life_ I tried but one year without you was pure hell, I'm not planning on going through that hell again Ayanna Coleman."

"I am a married woman." 

"Oh so you want to pull the married card on me. As I can recall you were married when you fucked me," he cuts me off with a deep scowl.

"Nothing you say now will send me away. I will never leave you again unless you kill me. I intend to have you and I'd do anything to have what I want." 

He slammed his lips against mine, silencing whatever I wanted to say. The kiss was intense and punishing ... When I finally pulled away I was gasping for air.

"I missed you so much, you have no idea,"he mumbled as he pulled me into a tight hug.

Oh no! This can't be happening. This result wasn't what I anticipated. I'd thought my revenge would go smoothly. Why did I even conclude that someone like him was a male escort? That domineering aura, the mysterious vibe, the grace with which he carried himself, everything about him exuded immense wealth and power. I'd ignored my instincts everytime, choosing to believe that he was a harmless gigolo. Now how was I supposed to get rid of a man like him? 

"You're probably just mistaking lust for affection. You'll get over it soon," I slipped out of his arms when he was distracted. "Isn't it sex you want, come on, maybe if we go at it one more time you'll finally realized that what you feel is just infatuation."

I took off my shoes, then began taking off my dress. "I'm sure you have lots of beautiful women throwing themselves at you, you could have whomever you want. You'll get over me soon." 

Rain's gaze trailed after my every movement.

"You still don't get it do you Ayanna_ if it were so eazy to forget you, I'd have done so during the months we were apart instead my love for you only grew. My obsession with you is sickening. If only you knew what thought I'd harbored toward you_ 

My hand stopped midway on my zipper. My heart pounding really hard I feared it might burst. A part of me wanted to consider it, being with him... But I quickly pushed the thought aside, opting for running away instead. 

Something tells me I couldn't though. Not when my captor was the heir of the Blackwell family. The dangerous heir I've heard rumors about. He may not have revealed his identity to the world until today nonetheless news of the Blackwell heir was pretty popular. He was heartless, brutal... A devil. 

Ayanna Oh Ayanna. You must have done something terrible in you past life to get caught up in a web as such. 

"Let me go. I'm not interested in you. I love my husband." 

Rain scoffed, pinching my cheek so hard that I cried in pain. "Soon I'll make sure you love me just as I love you. I will take you from your husband and make you mine only. You'll see." 

A knock on the door drew both our attentions. I held my breath as Alex's voice came right after. 

"Aya, are you in there?"

"Why are you even searching for her babe? We should just tell uncle we couldn't find her," I heard Kate's voice too. 

"Shhh... You're being loud. What if she's in there_ besides Father said I should find her. He wants to know about her relationship with the Blackwell heir, I do also. I want to know when and where she knew the Blackwell heir and why she kept it from me." 

Though he warned her against speaking loudly, he himself spoke loudly and Kate seem to ignore him also.

"Do you think they're having an affair? The way he spoke to her earlier and now Ayanna disappeared from the party and so did he." 

"What the fuck are you saying. Ayanna would never cheat on me she loves me too much," he sounded angry and I couldn't help but scoff. Beside me, Rain leaned down to place a kiss on my neck, whirling me around so that my back was pressed against his front. One arm circle around my neck, while his other roamed over my body, touching my private part." 

"I would like to see his reaction when he sees you like this in my arms, kissing and touching you," he whispered into my ears, his hot breath fanning against my ear and sending shivers down my spine. 

Weren't Rain's guards outside, why... 

"I asked someone to inform your husband you were here and asked the guards to leave incase he came," Rain answered as though reading my thoughts. I gasped, struggling to escape his grip but he only held on tighter. 

"This feel so good," he groaned loudly enough for Alex to hear. And I think he did because his knocking became more frantic. 

"Ayanna are you there?.who's there with you? Ayanna," He pounded on the door harder. " Hey, you get this door open this instant."

Panic filled me instantly 

"Let go of me," I whispered to Rain my attention leaving the door for a second before quickly snapping back when I heard someone toying with the lock.
