His jaw was tightly compressed as if he was suppressing himself from bursting out.

I was hoping he’d got something to say back, but instead, a deafening silence only rang between us.

Samuel’s eyes were fixed on me the whole time. He was slowly breathing out which seemed to sound louder than usual.

The intensity of his venomous and scorching eyes was driving my system insane. Knots were tying inside my stomach and chills were running down my spine.

Does he really want me to drool over him until the day I die? To simp over him for the rest of my life without even having the chance to live it?

Then, he had already made it clearer than water. I had really fallen in love with nothing but a selfish man.
