Nathan waited in the police station with Amelia.

About an hour later, two police officers brought a man in black and wearing a baseball cap in front of the two of them.

There were wounds on his face as well. It was obvious that he had been beaten up.

One of the officers passed a delicate purse to Amelia. "Miss Summers, is this your purse?"

Amelia's eyes lit up. "Yes, that's the purse I lost."

"This is the person who stole your purse, Miss Summers. What do you want us to do with him?" the other officer pointed at the man and asked.

After giving it some thought, Amelia said, "I've just checked my purse and nothing's missing. I'll let him off this time."

"Looks like you're in luck. Quick, thank Miss Summers for her kindness."

"Thank you so much, Miss Summers!"

"Alright, just try not to steal things in the future. You can leave now." Amelia waved her hand.

After the man in black was released, Amelia and Nathan headed back home as well.
