Luna George’s Anger and Fear

David Smith frowned as he waited for Jordan Nelson to show him something.

Jordan then took out a black credit card from the pocket of his suit.

"Take this credit card, Sir. It contains three hundred billion dollars,"

"I don’t need it, Jordan," David quickly refused.

"Lord Devil, please accept it, don’t reject it,"

"Was my statement unclear?" David spoke coldly, narrowing his eyes.

Jordan Nelson felt uneasy. But he still tried to persuade David to accept the credit card.

"But, Lord Devil, this card isn’t actually mine. Someone entrusted it to me to give it to you," Jordan explained briefly.

"Who is this 'someone' you’re talking about?"

"I can’t say, Sir. But if you accept this credit card, that person will surely come to meet you soon,"

David Smith looked confused. He was curious about who this mysterious person was.

"Alright, I’ll accept it. One more thing—I hope what happened today will never happen again in the future!"

"Of course, Mr. Smith, of course. I understand. If my son acts disrespectfully again, then you are free to do whatever you want to him,"

Even though he wasn’t entirely willing to say it, Jordan Nelson knew he had no other choice.

Deep inside, he fully understood the kind of person he was dealing with.

"Good. In that case, I’ll be leaving now,"

David Smith turned around and walked away from Jordan Nelson.

"Sir, are you really going home on foot?" Jordan asked, surprised to see David still walking.

"Yes, is there a problem?"

"Of course! You must not walk, Lord Devil. I will drive you home,"

Without waiting for David Smith’s response, Jordan Nelson quickly went back and brought his luxury car.

As soon as he arrived beside David, he immediately got out and opened the door for him.

"Please, Sir, get in,"

David hesitated. He seemed uncertain about the offer.

"Don’t worry, Mr. Smith. No one else will know about this," Jordan assured him, understanding David’s feelings.

"Alright," David answered briefly, then got into the car.

Moments later, the car Jordan was driving had nearly reached David’s neighborhood.

"Stop here, Jordan," David suddenly said.

"Why, Lord Devil? Is your house nearby?"

"Yes, it’s quite close,"

"In that case, let me drive you right to your doorstep,"

"No," David firmly refused.

"Why not?"

"Because I don’t want my wife to know everything,"

"Alright," Jordan replied as he stopped the car.

As soon as the car halted, David immediately got out. "Thank you, Jordan,"

"There’s no need to thank me, Sir. This is my duty," Jordan replied respectfully.

David Smith just nodded. Without saying another word, he walked away from Jordan.

When he arrived home, David opened the door. Fortunately, it was unlocked.

"Luna, you’re still awake?" David Smith was surprised to see Luna sitting in the living room.

"I couldn’t sleep," Luna replied shortly.

"Why, my love?" David asked as he approached her.

"Why, you ask? You still have the nerve to ask that? Are you pretending not to know, or are you truly brainless?"

Luna’s anger erupted. She immediately stood up and pointed her finger at her husband’s face.

Seeing Luna’s reaction and hearing her words, David immediately realized that he had misspoken. His instincts told him that something undesirable was about to happen.

And he was right. His fear quickly became reality.

"David, you are truly a useless man. Do you even know what you did at that event? You ruined everything,"

Luna started ranting. Her anger completely took over. It seemed she had been waiting for this moment to unleash all her frustrations on David.

"What exactly did I do at the wedding?" David asked calmly.

Even though his wife was fuming, he remained composed and patient.

"Oh my God. Why did I have to marry such a brainless man?" Luna muttered in frustration, clenching her fists.

After a brief pause, she continued, "David, what you did was utterly shameful. You not only embarrassed me, but you also humiliated the George Family in front of everyone,"

"After what happened, people will surely look down on my family. Grandma and the others will hear about this soon. If that happens, do you know what will become of me?"

"Luna, calm down first. Speak clearly and explain why you’re so angry,"

"David Smith, you useless man! Given the situation I’m in, how do you expect me to stay calm?" Luna’s voice grew louder, as if she had lost all self-control.

"Luna, listen, what you fear never actually happened. I didn’t bow down at Willie Nelson’s feet—in fact, the exact opposite happened," David explained.

"Nonsense! You poor fool! Do you think I’ll believe your words? No, loser. I won’t believe you,"

"Luna, trust me. I’m telling the truth. I’m serious," David tried to convince Luna George, who had already started crying, fearing for her fate.

"Shut up!" Luna screamed even louder. Her emotions were completely out of control. "Because of what you did, I’ll be the talk of the office. Everyone will mock and ridicule me,"

Luna had no idea what to do anymore. She was convinced that her worst fears would soon come true.

If it was just about herself, she might still be able to handle it. But now, her entire family—the George Family—would be affected. Even those who had nothing to do with it would suffer.

"This is all your fault, David! You destroyed my life! You have disgraced my family in front of everyone,"

Luna repeated her words, expressing her deep hatred toward the man standing calmly before her.

She couldn’t understand how someone like David could exist in this world.

"Luna, I’ve told you the truth. Believe me, what you fear won’t happen. I can guarantee it,"

"Leave, David! Get out of my sight!" Luna shouted, motioning for David to leave.

They both felt relieved. One problem had finally been resolved.David was very satisfied with Daniel's performance. Apparently, this man hadn't changed a bit over the years—always reliable, he thought."Alright, thank you, Miss. In three days, I will take care of the rest. After that, you will officially become the owner of the hotel and apartment."Once again, Luna was speechless. She truly didn’t know what to say. One thing was certain—she was extremely pleased and happy. She never imagined that she would come out as the “winner.” More than that, Luna never expected she would acquire the Albert Family's core business so easily. If she hadn't witnessed it with her own eyes, no one would believe it.“Luna, why do you still look tense? Aren’t you happy?” David Smith asked.“No, it’s not that, David,” she quickly replied. “I’m actually very happy. It’s just... this feeling is hard to expl

"Is this Miss Luna George?" Instead of answering, the unknown caller responded with a question of his own."Yes, I’m Luna George," she answered honestly."Miss Luna, I’d like to ask for a bit of your time. Tomorrow afternoon, I’d like to meet you at the Eastern Star Restaurant. Second floor, table number one.""Wait a moment—who are you? Why are you asking to meet me there?""You’ll find out who I am tomorrow. What matters is, our meeting will be about the major business left behind by the Albert Family."Luna was immediately shocked upon hearing that. For a moment, she was speechless."Si-sir, are you serious?" she asked, her lips trembling slightly."I'm serious, Miss. That’s why you must come tomorrow afternoon. Joshua Tyson, one of the sons of the Tyson Family Head and also Laura’s husband, was immediately at a loss for words. His lips parted slightly, but no words came out.Truthfully, Joshua had no intention of obstructing Madam Agatha’s efforts. But from another perspective, it would actually be much better if the George Family didn’t participate in this ‘competition’ at all.Because that was exactly what he wanted right now.“Grandmother...” After a few moments, Joshua finally spoke. “I think I have a pretty good idea.”Madam Agatha didn’t respond. She merely raised her eyebrows and looked at Joshua.“Even though the George Family and the Tyson Family aren’t the most powerful families in Phoenix City, if these two families unite to acquire shares and some of the former Albert Family’s companies, I believe our chances will greatly increase. A combined strength like that should be able to rival a single family ranked above us,” Joshua explained.Hearing that, almost everyone nodded in agre

David and Daniel were already back inside the car. They looked calm and relaxed. Despite the commotion they had caused at the Green Leaf Restaurant, neither of them felt even the slightest fear. In fact, they didn’t even bother to think about it."Sir, what should I do now?" Daniel asked, breaking the silence."Destroy a few of the Albert Family’s businesses. Don’t let them set foot in this city again.""Alright, I’ll get to it right away. I’m sure that old man will regret acting recklessly for the rest of his life.""But remember this, Daniel — I don’t want anyone else to know about what we’ve done,"David didn’t want his presence and actions to be known by others in the same circle.
