Diamond Hall

The Atmosphere in Diamond Hall at That Moment Was Very Lively.

The people attending were not ordinary individuals. Everyone present at the event certainly had an extraordinary background.

Among all the distinguished guests, one man stood out the most due to his appearance.

His name was David Smith, the husband of Luna George.

“Look at that! Who is walking with her?”

“Hey, isn’t that Mr. John George’s granddaughter? Why is she walking alongside a poor man?”

“Is that poor man her husband?”

“I feel like what I’m seeing today is a dream.”

Whispers started to fill the room. People who had been engaged in conversations with their friends and acquaintances suddenly fell silent.

All eyes turned to Luna George and David Smith, who were walking side by side.

“Luna, who is he? Is he your servant?”

“Or perhaps your bodyguard?”

Two women, around twenty-five years old, asked as Luna approached them. Their questions reflected the curiosity of everyone present.

The guests eagerly awaited Luna’s response.

Before she could speak, David Smith stepped forward and introduced himself.

“Allow me to introduce myself, ladies. My name is David Smith, and I am Luna George’s husband.”

His voice was loud and clear, echoing throughout the hall.

“What? You’re Luna’s husband?”

“Did I hear that correctly?”

Whispers turned into laughter. Almost all the guests started mocking Luna and David.

As laughter filled the hall, a man approached from the front.

“Mister, what is your occupation?” he asked.

“Nothing. I am just a former servant of the George Family,” David replied honestly.

The laughter grew louder.

At that moment, Luna felt utterly humiliated.

Her pride was crushed because of David Smith’s presence at the event.

“Luna, is there no other man out there? Why would you marry a poor servant like him?” The man pointed at David, his voice dripping with sarcasm and disdain.

“Willie, I—”

Before Luna could finish speaking, a woman in a white gown stepped forward.

“Luna, how dare you bring a poor man to our wedding and reunion? What kind of friend are you? You’re an embarrassment,” said Saras, the bride and host of the reunion, her voice full of contempt.

Luna was cornered. She wanted to respond, but no words came to her.

Deep inside, she regretted everything.

Had she been firmer in refusing David’s request to attend, she wouldn’t be facing this humiliation.

Meanwhile, David was enraged by the insults but knew this was not the right time to act.

So, he remained calm.

“Excuse me, ladies and gentlemen, we came here to attend a wedding, not to be insulted,” David spoke loudly, his voice firm.

“Fine, you may stay. Take a seat where we have arranged for you,” Willie, the groom, finally said, closing the confrontation.

“Darling, what are you doing? A poor man like him shouldn’t be at our wedding,” Saras whispered to Willie.

“Relax, sweetheart. I have something special planned for him,” Willie smirked, casting a glance at David.

The couple returned to their places.

The wedding proceeded smoothly. The wealthy guests had already left, leaving behind only the friends of the bride and groom.

The banquet began. Everyone was enjoying their food and drinks.

“David, come here,” Willie called out, waving him over.

David nodded, stood up, and walked toward him.

“What is it, Willie?” he asked, unsuspecting.

“Do you like wine?”

“Yes, I do.”

“Great. Let’s drink.”

Willie handed David a glass of wine. They raised their glasses for a toast.

Suddenly, an unexpected incident occurred!

Willie’s wine spilled, soaking his clothes.

His face darkened. He turned to David, his eyes burning with rage.

“Hey, poor man! What the hell is this? Why did you spill my wine? I invited you to drink sincerely, and you repay my kindness with disrespect?”

Willie shouted in anger.

The entire hall turned silent. Everyone's attention was now on them.

Luna, witnessing the scene, was furious. She wanted to teach her useless husband a lesson, but she couldn’t—not yet.

“Mr. Willie, what do you mean? You spilled your wine yourself. Why are you blaming me?” David asked in confusion.

He genuinely didn’t understand—he didn’t spill Willie’s wine.

“Damn your words! It was clearly you!”

“Hah, poor man!” Saras chimed in. “Apologize and clean my husband’s clothes if you don’t want trouble.”

“Miss Saras, I did nothing wrong. Why should I apologize?” David asked, his gaze steady.

“Hmph… If you won’t apologize, that’s fine. But you must kneel before my husband right now!” Willie smirked, pointing to the floor.

David’s anger flared.

He was about to fight back, but then he remembered Luna’s warning—Willie Nelson was not someone to be trifled with.

“Mr. Willie, why are you doing this to me? Are you deliberately trying to humiliate me?” Luna couldn’t hold back anymore. She stood up and spoke loudly.

“I had no ill intentions toward you, Miss Luna. But the moment I learned your husband was a poor man, everything changed,” Willie said with a smug grin.

“Hey, David, why are you still standing there? Obey my husband’s command!” Saras added.

“No, Miss. I will never do that!” David firmly refused.

Unknowingly, their argument had captured the attention of everyone in the room.

Dozens of eyes watched them closely. Some even took out their phones to record the moment.

“I’ll count to three. If you don’t obey me, I swear you will regret it,” Willie threatened, raising his voice so that everyone could hear.

“One!”

Willie’s eyes bore into David.

“Two!”

David clenched his jaw, swallowing his anger.

Willie smirked. “You’ve got some guts, loser. Fine, if that’s what you want. I warned you.” He turned to Luna. “Miss, get ready to see your husband suffer for his arrogance.”

“Wait!”

Aren’t you happy?” David Smith asked.“No, it’s not that, David,” she quickly replied. “I’m actually very happy. It’s just... this feeling is hard to expl

"Is this Miss Luna George?" Instead of answering, the unknown caller responded with a question of his own."Yes, I’m Luna George," she answered honestly."Miss Luna, I’d like to ask for a bit of your time. Tomorrow afternoon, I’d like to meet you at the Eastern Star Restaurant. Second floor, table number one.""Wait a moment—who are you? Joshua Tyson, one of the sons of the Tyson Family Head and also Laura’s husband, was immediately at a loss for words. His lips parted slightly, but no words came out.Truthfully, Joshua had no intention of obstructing Madam Agatha’s efforts. But from another perspective, it would actually be much better if the George Family didn’t participate in this ‘competition’ at all.Because that was exactly what he wanted right now.“Grandmother...” After a few moments, Joshua finally spoke. “I think I have a pretty good idea.”Madam Agatha didn’t respond. She merely raised her eyebrows and looked at Joshua.“Even though the George Family and the Tyson Family aren’t the most powerful families in Phoenix City, if these two families unite to acquire shares and some of the former Albert Family’s companies, I believe our chances will greatly increase. A combined strength like that should be able to rival a single family ranked above us,” Joshua explained.Hearing that, almost everyone nodded in agre

David and Daniel were already back inside the car. They looked calm and relaxed. Despite the commotion they had caused at the Green Leaf Restaurant, neither of them felt even the slightest fear. In fact, they didn’t even bother to think about it."Sir, what should I do now?" Daniel asked, breaking the silence."Destroy a few of the Albert Family’s businesses. Don’t let them set foot in this city again.""Alright, I’ll get to it right away.
