She managed to keep her breathing steady, even though it was difficult because of the nervousness that hit her. It was her first lunch with Dave's family after the wedding day. Also, with Chelsy's family. They decided to have lunch together as they were in the same city. It must be hard for business people like them to gather, so when there was an opportunity, they used it well, including inviting Anna.

"Are you nervous?" Dave asked beside her.

She was still staring ahead as she flexed his fingers to loosen the tension. "Can't you see?" she asked back. Shouldn't the answer be obvious? She...

"You're nervous," he said.

Right. Anna was nervous.

Suddenly, he placed his hand on hers and squeezed it lightly. "You've met them once. You know they like you."

Anna took a deep breath and let it out slowly. She tried to suck in the calm that was channeled through his touch. "I know," Anna replied as she regained her composure. "Still, I can't stop my nervousness from showing up," she continued.
