Chapter 7 - It can't be

Brayden's POV

It's been over a hundred years since I visited my mother's cabin but I could make out the way like the back of my palm. These are some of the things I was talking about. The acidity of my senses has increased invariably, after meeting Cora. The whole place has been deserted and covered in weeds but I could make my way through, easier than I did the last time I was here.

Aside from that, Steve was extremely exhausted, but I felt my energy was just picking up after walking this long in the woods. There was no route for vehicles in this location so most of the journey had to be covered on foot. Mother told me before she died that she chose to live here because she wanted to be away from the rest of the world and atone for her sins. She never told me about what atrocity befell her even when I asked over and over again. The only thing she kept saying was I will know when the time was right, and when the time comes, the truth will reveal itself.
