Tony Woods' POV

I am at the point where I genuinely don't know what to do. It feels like I'm struggling.

It feels like I'm standing at a crossroads, stuck and uncertain about my actions.

The people you think you know.

You come to realize that maybe you don't know them after all.

And that shakes you.

I usually have answers, but now, I'm the dumbest man alive.

I'm used to having directions.

But this time, I feel lost in the dark.

And it's crazy each time I remember that I am all alone.

I don't see anyone coming to salvage my pathetic situation.

Each time I recall that I'm the architect of my misfortunes, my heart bleeds.

The question that keeps echoing in my head when I wake up every morning is, “When will I finally get out of this?”

To worsen it all, I am not guaranteed a perfect response, let alone a remedy.

“What the hell is going on here, Mr. Woods?

Why did you invite the police to my hospital?” The Doctor asked me in a faint tone.

He was panting heavily after running to meet me. He was eager to know who I got off the phone with.

“Officer, please I need you to arrest Angela,” I authorized

I wasn't done talking when Marcus interrupted me with the question, “Arrest your wife?”

I paused my breath and controlled my anger. Then I proceeded to where Marcus stood and said to him, “I don't want to hear this shit from you anymore. For the records, she's not my wife and Kelly isn't my son either,”

“ You have got to be kidding me. Is this some sort of joke?

What the heck are you up to?" Marcus giggled.

He thought I was kidding around.

Ignoring his question, I sauntered over to Officer Patrick to complete my utterances before I was interrupted

“Now back to the discourse,” I proceed.

“I want to authorize her arrest.

She's in the ward with her son, and I'm going to lead you to her right now,” I added

I attempted to leave and noticed no one joined me. Not even my so-called lawyer.

I was highly disappointed.

I felt betrayed by those who mattered to me. They made it seem like I was acting alone and going insane.

I returned to them in a different kind of mood. This time, I became more ruthless than the previous time.

“Are you going to come with me, or should I call another station?

You know I can always do that,” I threatened Officer Patrick.

The moment I noticed his refusal to respond, I brought out my phone and dialed some numbers.

I placed the phone to my ear and pretended to initiate a fake telephone conversation.

The plan was to instill fear in the officer and force him to bend to my will.

The plan worked!

It didn't take too long for Officer Patrick to act fast as he held my hands and pleaded with me to drop the call.

At first, I declined, but after a continuous plea, I obliged.

“Are you ready to obey my orders now?

This is going to be the last time I will speak to you about this,” I revisited our conversation.

I sounded more threatening than the previous time

“Of course, that can be arranged. But first, can we know her crimes?

We just can't walk in there and arrest someone without a valid reason,” the officer explained.

After listening to him, it dawned on me that he made lots of sense.

Although, I didn't see myself in the pole position to attempt such a question.

Even talking about it makes me sad.

Talking about it opened a can of worms from the past that I thought were gone.

I flickered my gaze at the Doctor who broke the shocking news to me.

When he saw the look on my face, he knew what I wanted to say.

He tried to avoid any eye contact with me, but I was resilient.

I called his name and pointed toward him should he decide to form a pretense. “The doctor over here is the right person to provide the answers you want,”

“Me?” The doctor pointed to himself in shock.

He pretended not to know what I was talking about.

“Can we not do this here, please?

This is a public place.

I don't intend to talk about it right now.

It ain't worthy to be talked about,” the doctor whispered to me.

He tried his best to make the conversation secretive.

It wasn't something I was familiar with.

We seemed to shade different ideologies

Unlike him, I wanted the whole world to know the kind of beast Angela is.

“Angela has been having sex outside our marriage. I just found out from the Doctor that Kelly isn't my biological son,” I revealed to everyone.

I couldn't wait for the doctor to come through for me.

It wasn't too easy for me to spill.

But after I spoke about it, my burden was over. I felt like a new being again.

“What the heck?” Officer Patrick screamed. He was the first to react to my information.

“This is crazy.

We just interrogated Sean, and he confessed that Angela had already planned to have you poisoned and eloped with her mystery man after selling your properties,” Marcus disclosed.

“She did what?” My head banged like a bell.

I didn't even wait for him to finish speaking before rushing down to Kelly's ward. It was so fast that no one saw it coming.

Some seconds later, everyone joined me. They were trying to pull me back, but I was far gone.

I got to Kelly's ward and to my greatest surprise, Angela was nowhere to be found.

She was gone!

Neither she nor Kelly was in the hospital.

Edging closer to the bed, I saw a note beside the drawer.

Numerous events played in my head that I couldn't even fathom.

It feels like a N*****x original series! I couldn't wait for the next episode.

I got the answer I needed without speaking to Angela directly. Here I was, thinking that she might want to lie. But no, she owned up to her shit with her full chest and made me look like the stupid one. “I had no choice, Mrs. Woods. For crying out loud, you're his wife. I couldn't fold my arms and watch him in pain. He deserves to see his son,” the doctor explained. I was starting to feel pity for him. At that point, it became clear to me what was going on. All along, my brain was undergoing some maintenance due to what it had processed in the last few minutes. “Wait a minute, doctor. Did she also tell you not to let me see my son? What else did she tell you?” I focused my gaze on the doctor. I had a feeling that there was more to discuss. “Mr. Woods, I need to leave now. Other patients a

It turned out that my eardrums weren't damaged after all, as I had thought. “Hold on a sec, sir! I want to get this straight. This still doesn't look real to me. I want to ask you a question. Were you aware that your son was rushed inside by your wife?” The Doctor asked me again. He saw the look on my face and knew something was wrong. I wasn't the Tony Woods he has known for decades now. Personally, there was something very awful about me.It was as though someone was seated somewhere controlling my movement with a remote or some sort of. I was too perplexed to speak. Spinning my head around, I caught the Nurse at the reception staring at me. The same nurse who told me that my son, Kelly, wasn't admitted to their hospital I had a thousand reasons to speak, but I also considered how detrimental my confession would be to he

Toon Woods POVBefore I could stand up from the bed, my domestic staff was already inside my room, crying her eyes out. “What's the problem, Maggie?” I asked. While I asked her the question, numerous negative thoughts invaded my mind. I tried so hard not to believe them, even though I knew it was obvious. Rather, I decided to listen to what my staff had to say. “It's Kelly,” she briefly said. It wasn't the response I had anticipated. Her response to my question further increased my blood pressure. Maggie's utterances kept me in suspense, which didn't sit well with me. I didn't know when I yelled at Maggie, warning her to speak up and stop playing games with me. “This is your last chance to spill it, Maggie. The next time won't be funny,” I warned Maggie. “Kelly was rushed to the hospital after he collapsed in the living room this morning,” Maggie finally spilled. “What?”I screamed my lungs out and died a thousand times. I thought it was a joke until Maggie confirmed that

When, lady, did you have your medication?' I yelled at Angela with the last strength inside of me. It wasn't my intention to yell at her in such a manner, but she pushed me to the wall, and I had no choice. “Oh? You are going to pretend like you don't know what I'm talking about? You try to play smart but unfortunately, you aren't,” Angela retaliated. I thought yelling at her was going to scare her a bit, but I was wrong. I didn't know where she got the strength from. I was lost, yet stunned by how Angela managed to pull up that defense mechanism. Coming from someone who has so many dirty secrets. If there's anyone who is entitled to be upset, clearly it should be me.Quietly, I sauntered to the wardrobe and selected my pajamas. Right in her presence, I wore it and grabbed my pillow. “Where the heck are you heading to r
