Hazel’s P.O.V. (Continued)

I could fight, and I know that I can win against them. They are nothing but pampered and spoiled brats while I learned to fight to keep myself safe from those filthy and monstrous creatures lurking around us, waiting for someone like me, alone and defenseless.

But fighting means death for my mother.

Naisha continued slapping me while screaming like a banshee while the other two continued pressing me down.

“You s**t. You ruined everything for me. Last night was supposed to make me shine in front of the whole world, but you ruined everything.” She screamed while hitting me.

I saw stars when she suddenly kicked me in the chest, and the tip of her sandals hit the same place where she gave me two broken ribs two days ago.

I couldn’t breathe, but that wasn’t the end.

She punched me at the junction of my shoulder and neck to the left side.

Then came the rain of kicks, punches, and slaps.

I screamed in pain when she pressed the sharp heel of her sandals on my thigh, putting all her weight there.

I felt like dying, but I didn’t open my mouth or plead.

Just a little more. Let her vent her anger, Hazel. You will be okay. This is for the woman who put her life at risk for you.

I continued chanting this in my heart, enduring the pain with all my strength, but soon, I felt that I would pass out at any time. The

“Luna.” I heard someone calling her name, making her stop for a second, but she was still holding my hair; they were on the verge of leaving my scalp at any time.

“She is telling the truth.” The voice was faint, but I heard that.

“What did you say?” Naisha screamed again, leaving my hair this time.

My head rolled down, giving me time to breathe.

I didn’t know who spoke, giving me temporary relief, but I thanked her in my heart.

None of her minions was a good person. So, this mere act of goodness had no appreciation in my heart, but I was still glad.

“I…. I asked my hacker to retrieve the deleted footage of the Twilight Bar. Someone erased the whole footage of three hours after the ceremony. She…. She was also in an accident before she reached that bar.”

Oh hell!!!!

How did I forget about that accident?

“Her car is still at the same place,” that woman added. I didn’t open my eyes because I had no strength left in my body.

The silence thickened for a few seconds.

Then I heard the sharp clicking of heels against the stone.

“Here.” I heard that same woman whispering in a low and fearful voice.

Ruby and the other girl threw me on the floor and hurriedly went away too.

I didn’t even think about pulling my body from the floor.

I am sure that I was lying pathetically, but I didn’t care at all.

My whole body was now aching badly, especially my ribs and my thighs. She hit my thighs so many times. I am sure that now I would have so many bruises all over my body that if she tears my clothes, she won’t be able to distinguish between a hickey and a bruise.

If she approves the medical grant for my mother after this, it will be the biggest help to me from her.

I was still not sure if she would do that or not, but if she does that….

I will leave my mother in Cody’s care and will leave the pack. I can go to the human world. I needed money and a stable job to secure my mother’s future medical bills.

Staying in this pathetic pack after what happened between me and Keith is dangerous for me now.

“Get up.” Naisha barked at me suddenly.

I flinched harder, but I still opened my eyes. She was still shooting daggers at me through her eyes, her face twisted at ugly angles, but she didn’t charge at me like earlier.

Ruby and others were now standing beside her; disdain and hatred were still evident in their gazes, but none of them spoke.

“I can give your mother that imported medicine for seven days, but this is the most lenient thing that I am going to do with you. You can have that, but both you and your mother have to leave the pack before dusk today, cutting all the ties with this pack, and you will never come back.”

My heart skipped a beat in fear, but what more can I expect from a heartless and cruel pathetic creature like Naisha?

“One gaze in Keith’s direction in the future, and I promise you that you will not get your mother’s body for a funeral.” I couldn’t take her threat lightly because I knew that she was able to do that.

Her father was an influential beta with a few successful businesses running in the human world.

She is reckless not because Keith chose her as his mate but because she had a strong backup of her family.

I slowly moved my body upward. Every muscle and nerve was screaming in pain, but I knew that I needed to get out from here.

“Thanks, Luna.” I murmured hoarsely.

“Pack your bags and reach the east-border station in three hours. Sign the papers, take the medicine, and get the f**k out of our lives.” Naisha barked like a mad b*tch.

I just nodded once but winced in pain because of the injuries that I got on my shoulders and shoulder blades.

I almost crawled towards the exit on my hands. Because of what she did to my thighs and knees, I couldn’t even stand up on my knees.

“Pathetic wolf-less. You did the right things, Luna. It’s a waste of our resources to let her and her mother stay here.”

The sharpness and disgust in their words were like slashes of knives, but I zoned all of them out.

Now I had a bigger problem than that.

I needed to find a hospital where I can put my mother. With seven days of doses, I can’t be assured.

I had no idea where I would go after leaving this pack, but I needed to get out before Keith wakes up.

My phone buzzed in my jeans pocket, but I can't take the call in front of them.

I held the doorframe with all my strength and slowly lifted my body upwards.

Tears almost fell down my eyes because of pain, but I held them back.

Once I am out of the pack house, Xyla will heal me.

But for now....

I needed to endure this pain. I didn't crawl towards the main building but to the exit at the back. That's why it took me time, but I was glad that I can make it.

I slowly walked towards the path leading away from the pack house.

The phone buzzed in my pocket again, and I took the phone out of my pocket this time.

I hurriedly took the call when I saw Cody's name on the screen. At the same time, I let Xyla come out too.

She howled in pain and anger, but I concentrated on the call.

"Where are you?" Cody asked me worriedly as soon as the call connected.
