Seduced By My Alpha Brother-In-Law

“We can do this, Xyla. We are stronger than this.” I muttered to my wolf, who was enraged and wanted to take control, but she couldn’t because of the safety charm on the pendant of my necklace.

Because my mate, Alpha Keith Locke, was going to take a chosen mate today, when I, his fated mate, had to watch this.

“I don’t care what will come next, Hazel, but you are going to break this charm so that I can go out and claim what’s mine.” She growled aloud at the back of my mind, scratching the walls with her paws in anger, giving me an immense headache, but heartache was more painful than that headache.

I wanted to ignore her rage, but tears brimmed in my eyes. I started walking in the direction of the training ground, where the mating ceremony is about to begin in a few minutes. My legs were heavy as if someone had tied tons of load around my ankles.

“Why are you moving so slowly? The ceremony is about to start.” I flinched harder, holding the pendant of my necklace tightly when Reenie, an omega maid in the pack house, asked me while looking at me warily.

“O yeah!” I exclaimed, trying to sound excited; only a tight smile appeared on my lips, but she just scoffed while rolling her eyes and went away.

I quickened my pace toward the entrance and immediately walked to the far corner of the ground

I stopped there, hiding myself behind the broad physiques of two warriors in front of me, and looked at the platform where Keith was standing with his chosen mate, Naisha Holt, the daughter of the beta Steven Holt of our neighboring pack, the Red River pack.

To everyone, Naisha was a perfect Luna for Keith.

But to me, she was my hell.

Ever since I came to this pack a year ago, Keith had known that I was his mate. He just refused to admit me, a wolf-less Omega, as his mate and ordered me to hide the secret.

But it wasn't only me who noticed the way he looked at me; his girlfriend, Naisha, also noticed this, and this was the start of my nightmare. The throbbing pain in my ribs was evidence of her cruelty.

This wasn't the first time that she hurt me, but Keith always ignored it.

I jerked my head, tried to clear my head, and forced that terrible memory back in the deep corner of my brain. I pressed my chest to ease the pain in both my heart and those broken ribs.

“Now let us witness this happy moment as this new couple marks their union,” the ceremony officiant announced enthusiastically.

Naisha had a sweet, happy smile on her face.

Suddenly, I felt Keith’s eyes on me. My dark hazel eyes met his dark black eyes, which had the coldness of an iceberg when he looked at me.

I felt my breath ragged when I realized what he was doing. He wanted to see me shedding tears when he would mark her.

Xyla howled aloud in pain when Keith sank his canines in Naisha’s neck while locking his gaze with mine. He was waiting for my breakdown.

I dug my nails deep inside my palms to suppress my pain, but I didn’t let the pain come to my face. I just watched the whole marking with a blank gaze without giving him the satisfaction of breaking me.

I clutched the pendant tightly when he retracted his canines and licked that place to close the wound.

After the night my pack was destroyed, I thought nothing could ever break my heart more. Keith did that.

With every trembling breath, I recalled the memories of the attack on my pack twelve years ago, which destroyed the whole pack, killing every member in front of my eyes.

My parents, my brothers, playmates, young pups, omegas, wounded warriors…..

Everyone….

I could still hear their screams and pleas for help, but my brother, the future alpha of our pack, put his command on me before hiding me in a hidden closet in the living room of the pack house. He commanded me to stay inside that closet until the next day.

I couldn’t even scream while watching the slaughter because of his command. He put this pendant on me, protecting them from getting a whiff of my scent.

Everyone applauded and hooted while clapping hard, but all I could hear was the shattering of my heart into millions of pieces.

Naisha beamed with pride and slowly held his neck while extending her canines. I couldn’t stay indifferent to the whole situation by now, and before Naisha could even move her canines towards his neck, I fled.

I ran to the parking lot, jumped inside my car and drove away.

Where? I don’t know, but I wanted to go away from this place….

Finally, I found a bar to spend the terrible day.

“One more,” I ordered in a slurred tone, putting the empty glass on the counter. “You already have enough drink, Hazel.” The bartender replied to me worriedly but poured another glass of alcohol, especially manufactured for the werewolves.

“I am so happy, Brad. It’s our alpha’s mating ceremony tonight.” I chirped with a fake smile and took the glass again.

Without even thinking once, I finished the whole glass in one go. I hissed in pain when my ribs throbbed badly because of my movement.

The pain he caused me tonight was worse than anything that I endured till now, but I know one thing very well: that Keith doesn’t deserve me.

Brad poured me another glass without hesitation this time, and I grinned widely before taking the glass.

"All the drinks are at half-price by the alpha's orders." He told me while co*cking his brow. I smiled tightly and put the glass rim on my lips.

I finished the glass without thinking or sensing anything wrong about it but stiffened when I was about to smash the glass on the counter again.

My heart skipped a beat when his alluring scent of musk and wood hit my nostrils. Even when I was completely intoxicated, I smelled his scent among all the scents and smells around me.
