LOGIN"You ignore me, you don't want me, you don't touch me, you don't fuck me, and then you come at me with this weak threat just because I danced with someone else at the party?" I managed to push out the words, "Let's face it, you're not going to do a damn thing and just keep playing saint-maybe your machine has rusted after all these years of being without a mate." His jaw tensed, and his fingers dug into my skin, but then a low, husky chuckle escaped him. "You really enjoy pushing boundaries, don't you?" His free hand traced a slow path down between us and he suddenly cupped my pussy causing a gasp to slip past my lips, "Just so you know, Poppet-I have a lot of respect for you, but in the next hour, I'm going to make you forget that I ever respected you at all." Before I could retort, his lips brushed against my ear, a wicked smirk playing on his lips. "Brace yourself-because I am about to fuck you like my whore and I'll show you just how well this machine still fucking works." *** When Aurora Steel's mate cheats on her with her best friend just before their mating ceremony, her world shatters. But....Just as she hits rock bottom, a familiar face reappears in their pack-the Alpha of BloodFang Legion, Jaxon Blackwood, her father's friend, and...the crush she'd long buried. And suddenly it seems there is no better choice for revenge against her cheating mate than letting a hot, cold, and older alpha fuck her. But in the world of revenge, betrayal, illicit desires, and forbidden temptation, an affair hidden from everyone with an Alpha like Jaxon is anything but a wise choice, isn't it? Especially when Jaxon'd enemies were after him.

I pushed the accelerator, feeling the engine roar as the speedometer edged closer to its limit. It had been two hours since I started driving, and I had no clue which direction I was headed. The alcohol coursing through my veins made the world blurrier with each swig from the flask I'd snatched from some guy at the club. I groaned as more tears streamed down my face.
I pounded the horn, the sound blaring into the night. I kept pressing it until the car in front of me veered to the side, clearing my path.
My claws strained beneath the surface, desperate to break free, but I forced them to stay buried. Inside, my wolf howled brimming with both fury and pain.
I sped past.
The image of my Mate and my best friend in his apartment, on his bed, fucking the shit out each other, flashed before my eyes.
God! I had really loved that asshole and I had really trusted that bitch.
My phone, on silent mode, buzzed and vibrated on the passenger seat. Dad was calling again, probably for the tenth time since I'd texted him to cancel every arrangement for the mating ceremony scheduled for next week.
My gaze fell on the ring still clinging to my finger and I tore it off and hurled it out the open window.
It would take me one day to find a better guy to fuck and purge that bastard from my system. I'd already rejected him; it wouldn't be that hard.
Another text flashed across my phone's screen: "Aurora, where are you?"—Dad.
Not a second passed before another message appeared: "Your mom's worried sick, buttercup. Get back home. Please."
Suppressing all my anger, pain, and anguish beneath my skin, I turned the car around and headed home. The guard opened the gate, and I drove into the driveway of the mansion. I got out, handing him the keys to park the car in the garage.
I was drunk as fuck and could barely walk straight.
Kicking off my heels, I grabbed them in my hands and walked into the mansion. As soon as I stepped inside, two familiar faces greeted me: my mom and dad.
The moment I stepped through the door, my mother's worried face appeared, followed closely by Dad. "Aurora!" she cried, rushing to me. "What happened? Why did you text us like that? Are you hurt?"
Dad's gaze scanned me, his concern palpable. "Aurora, what did Ryan do? Did you two have a fight?"
A small, bitter chuckle escaped my throat. "Fight? No. Nothing that simple." I walked over to the couch, collapsed onto it, and grabbed some tissues to wipe my tears.
"Then what—" Mom began, but I cut her off.
"I wanted to surprise my boyfriend, getting all dolled up and everything. Instead, I walked in on my mate and my best friend having sex. How's that for a surprise?"
Mom gasped, clamping her hand over her mouth. Her eyes softened as she sat beside me and gently took my hand. "Come here, baby." She tried to pull me into a hug, but I pulled away.
"No, Mom. Don't give me that look," I said firmly. "I'm not crying over an asshole, so there's no need to comfort me."
"I will talk to Alpha Robert right now. How dare his son treat my daughter like that!" Dad turned around, ready to march over to Robert's house.
"What's the purpose of it all, anyway? Will it magically solve everything?" I exclaimed, "Alpha Robert's no different from his son, a certified jerk who's cheated his mate's countless times. So this will look like a very trivial matter to him. A small mistake. But I'm not Isabelle; I refuse to endure this supposed mate-bond nonsense any longer. Even the moon goddess slips up, and this is one of her blunders. I've already rejected that jerk, and I won't entertain the idea of letting him in again, not even if you paid me—I am not going back to him. So, let's drop this discussion; there's no point in pursuing it further."
"Whether you're going back—which I won't allow—or not, Ryan needs to fucking apologize for what he did. He will have to pay for hurting you."
"Dad—" I started, but before I could say more, a voice interrupted.
"Well, I have informed my beta. They will track her down—"
The sound of heavy footsteps approached us, drawing my attention to the doorway. There stood a man, six-foot-two, dressed in a black shirt and beige slacks. His muscles looked like they were sculpted from steel, and the rolled-up sleeves revealed glimpses of intricate tattoos inked on his arms. His hair was neatly styled back, and every step he took exuded the commanding presence of an Alpha.
As my eyes met his, the steel-gray eyes that seemed forged from cold and mesmerizing molten silver that looked away from his phone and fixed on me, he stopped speaking, his next words dying on the tip of his tongue. And suddenly I exactly knew who he was—Jaxon Blackwood.
Jaxon fucking Blackwood—The man whose face I used to imagine between my thighs when I was only....fifteen.
AuroraThe mansion stretched across acres of land, but it was nothing like Ricky's. No gold statues. No fountains designed purely to show off. No ridiculous displays of wealth. This place was different. More dangerous.Dark stone and tinted windows made it look less like a home and more like a fortress. High walls surrounded the estate, watchtowers rising at intervals, armed guards stationed on each one. The further we walked in, the more uneasy I felt — because unlike Ricky's territory, where wealth was flaunted openly, this place flaunted something else entirely.Power. Raw power.A truck rolled past us, loaded with metal crates, men carrying assault rifles immediately swarming it. Then another truck. And another. Some carried ammunition. Others held racks of rifles, cases of handguns, and larger equipment hidden beneath dark tarps. The entire compound looked less like a pack territory and more like a military operation preparing for war."Is he a weapons dealer?" I asked quietly, l
Aurora“Well, thanks for saving my pack last night,” Ricky let out as servants carried our luggage out of the mansion and loaded it into the back of the vehicles. The morning sun reflected off practically everything around him—his chains, his rings, his watch, and probably half the mansion itself. Somehow, despite having survived an attack only hours ago and losing enough blood to make most people stay in bed, he still looked like a wealthy businessman attending a social gathering. “I will always be grateful for that.”“Don't be,” Jaxon replied. “The attack happened because of us. We did what we had to do.” Then after a brief pause, he extended his hand toward Ricky. “In fact, thank you for putting aside the past and helping us. I hope together we can win this war.”“We will, buddy.”Ricky grabbed his hand without hesitation and shook it firmly before patting Jaxon on the back.“Don't worry about that. Money buys everything.” He grinned. “Even extra soldiers.”I watched Jaxon's eye tw
AuroraBy the time we'd reached the ground floor, everything was in absolute shambles.Wolves and rogues were everywhere. Soldiers were fighting them throughout the mansion grounds, some in wolf form, some with weapons in their hands. The sound of snarls, growls, gunshots, and screaming civilians crashed together into one chaotic mess. People were running in every direction. Some civilians were desperately trying to escape while others were shifting right in front of us and throwing themselves into the fight. And that was when I spotted Ricky. The old Alpha was standing in the middle of the chaos with blood staining one side of his robe, fixing the gold chain around his neck with one hand while firing a gun with the other.“Ricky, man! What the fuck aren't you shifting?” Jaxon asked, clearly confused as he was already unbuttoning his shirt to prepare for shifting.“My wolf isn't as fucking strong as it used to be,” Ricky barked back as he fired another shot into a charging wolf and dr
AuroraApparently, Ricky had been testing Jaxon all along. In his own words, he'd wanted to see whether the same man who had permanently scarred his face years ago still stood by his principles — or whether desperation had finally worn him down enough to abandon them. And if Jaxon had taken that route, if he'd bent everything he believed in simply because he needed help, Ricky would have ordered our deaths without a second thought. Right there at the border. No warning, no speech, no dramatic pause. Just two bodies bleeding out in the dirt while he finished his cigar. That realization settled over me like cold water. What disturbed me most wasn't that he would have done it. It was that I believed him completely. I could still see the look in his eyes when he'd said it — no anger, no theatrics, just a quiet, absolute certainty. As if killing us would have been nothing more than a routine business decision.I shook the thought away and turned back to the mirror, dragging the comb throug
Aurora Daniel’s words hung between us, thick and suffocating, as silence swallowed the room.It was a prettier illusion — him threatening me, pushing me away because he loved me too much. That kind of pain at least came wrapped in meaning. But the truth? The truth was a bitter pill lodged in my th
AuroraWe'd reached the pack house half an hour ago.Jane had been rushed to the hospital for scans, broken bones, and a full checkup. Daniel, stubborn as ever, decided he could tend to his own wounds. And Jaxon—he was here, seated in front of me while I cleaned and dressed his injuries. They weren
AuroraAs my lips met his, I felt it instantly—a violent shiver tearing through Jaxon's body, like something deep in his soul had been yanked back into place. For the first few seconds, there was nothing. He was frozen beneath me. Unmoving. Gone.Panic clawed at my chest, but I refused to pull away
AuroraAs my words lingered between us, Lilith took a step back—barely a movement, so slight it could've slipped past anyone else's notice. But I saw it. She'd already burned through most of her blood spells. I could feel it in the way her power faltered, in the tightness around her eyes."You woul
