Chapter 11

"Are you flirting with me, Mr. Bryce Phoenix Huxley?”

I didn't see any reaction on his face but I could read the amazement at the same time as the surprise in his eyes. A few more seconds passed without anyone else speaking between us again and the amount of time we stared at each other gave me a strange feeling. I also feel like I'm holding my breath as if I'm underwater.

"Is that what you are feeling, Ms. Gia Blythe McKenna?” Until suddenly he spoke and because I still didn't take my eyes off his face, I saw how a silly smile drew on his lips.

I swallowed hard because of his hot and fragrant breath hitting my face. “Yes.” That was the answer that came out of my mouth which surprised him again but there was still no reaction on his face.

Is this one a robot? If I don't look into his eyes, I won't be able to read any reaction on his face.

I could feel the strange warmth in me caused by our position but it seemed to sting even more when Bryce came closer to me causing me to swallow
