MasukHis grip on her neck tightened as he rammed into her, the sound of her moans filling up his office. “Say it,” He whispered. “Say you belong to me,” The words tremble on her tongue, half plea, half surrender. “I… belong to you.” Her body trembled, caught between wanting to run and wanting to fall deeper into whatever this was. Serafina had just one job to do. Infiltrate his mafia. Obtain information. And kill him. And she would do anything it takes to get the job done, even if it means submitting to a demon. Dimitri Volkov is ruthless, untouchable and looked like pure, undiluted sin. He was not the kind of man you love. He was the kind of man that ruins you and makes you enjoy it. And now Dimitri doesn’t just want her body, her wants her heart, mind and soul. And once the mafia king decides you are his, he never lets you go.
Lihat lebih banyak_Serafina’s POV_My heart dropped to the bottom of my stomach and for a moment I wasn’t sure what to do. I didn’t think he would see me and so I froze. I froze because I had only thought about following him and hadn't thought about him actually seeing me. Nice work, Serafina!I pushed myself harder into the stone marker, hoping stupidly that somehow he would believe he was seeing a ghost or that he had been mistaken about seeing me. But the next moment, Dimitri turned around. Staring right at me. “How long are you going to keep hiding?” He asked, voice devoid of any emotions. And let me tell you this, he didn’t look too happy to see me. His face was scrunched up in anger, and I knew I was in a place I wasn’t meant to be. My eyes once again shifted to the grave before I decided to do something about the situation. “I-I..” I stuttered, pushing myself up as I thought of an excuse.Come on. Think! Anything would be better than keeping quiet at this point. “I was strolling and the
_Serafina’s POV_The next morning, I went down for breakfast knowing two things. One, I wasn't hungry. And two, whatever waited for me would be worse than an empty stomach. I didn’t see Dimitri all through last night and after his reaction, I wasn't sure if I wanted to. I stepped into the dining room expecting to see Dimitri there, but I was met with a very familiar yet unfamiliar face.“Ah,” a thick voice drawled, “the queen decides to join us.”Viktor Volkovo sat before me, lips pulled into a sardonic smirk, grey eyes locking onto mine as I crossed the room. I have only seen Viktor in pictures, but I knew enough to be wary. His black hair was cut low, almost shaved to his scalp. A snake tattoo curled from the side of his neck running into his shirt. Piercings lined both ears. One cut through his right eyebrow. A silver ring sat at the center of his nose.He looked like violence that had learned how to smile.I took a seat directly across from him. “Where is my husband?” I ask
_Serafina’s POV_My heart dropped to the bottom of my stomach as I thought of a lie to say. How much had he heard? Was I safe? I couldn't tell by just reading his face but he looked really angry. “Who were you talking to, Celestine. And what’s going well.” he growled out, eyes darkening. This was the first time I had heard him call me a name and that showed how upset he was getting. I needed to say something, I needed to do something. My brain went haywire as I thought of an answer, my lips parting slightly. Each answer I could think of ended with my head on a platter. I couldn't think of a valid answer that wouldn't lead to me dying as his cold gaze pinned me down. “If you don't answer me right now…” he started and I blurted one thing that came to mind. “A surprise!” I lied, swallowing hard as I hoped he bought the lie. “I found out about your birthday and I was planning a surprise part for you. I was on a call with my friend as she suggested what I should do.” I rambled on
_Serafina’s POV_Dimitri stared at me, like he was waiting to see what I was going to do about the disrespect. I had thought about ignoring it, until Alessandro opened his mouth once again. “Oh? She can’t even do anything without seeking your permission, you got the best toy Dimitri.” He mocked, throwing his head back as his chest shook with laughter. Something in me snapped. A few other people at the table laughed along and my grip on my cloth tightened. I am not Celestine. I wouldn’t be accepting any disrespect especially in front of a man who had just dominated me. If I was going to act as the wife of such a man, I had to proof i wasn’t weak. One moment I was sitted, face blanched as though I would swallow the insult, the next i had moved. My hand shot out, and I grabbed him by the back of his neck.“What the—“ he started, but before he could finish I slammed his face straight into the table. Thr crack echoed through the room, everywhere falling silent. But that wasn’t en
