I don’t see him anywhere near as much as before.

“So, you and Maria? Were we right or not?” No one is letting this go, everyone has always said she was with me for money, now I guess she proved me wrong and them right.

“Yes, you were all right, turned out she has been with me the last three years just waiting for money”

He laughs, shaking his head at my reply.

“Well, lesson learnt, if the family warns you a woman is a money-grabbing bitch, run Marcus, don’t put a ring on it” I shake my head at his terminology, only he would think of something so crazy as that.

"He seems, different." He points towards the stairs.

"He will, he has gone without the lifestyle for years. Not only that but he found someone who not only wants it all, but married him as well." The words sting, I know marrying Maria was a mistake, but I still feel I love her.

"Yeah, where did that come from? I thought he had sworn and taken an oath never to fuck a woman again the way he was going."
