Aden Bruce POV

I got up late in the morning and I went down after freshening up. Mom was already waiting for me. She was so happy to see me. We met after a long time.

This unexpected surprise made my Dad so happy. I was talking to him. When I told him that I had decided to come back permanently. He wasn't believing at all.

Dad "You are saying this just to make me happy?"

Aden "Not at all but please promise me that you won't force me to join your office. Please."

Dad "What would you do then? It's been long. Forget everything."

Aden "Please Dad. I won't stay otherwise. Please. "

He was thinking of something.

Dad "Okay but you are gonna live with us. That's final."

Although I was thinking of looking for a home he was requesting in a way that I was unable to refuse his request.

Aden "Okay."

I stayed with him. He was asking me about my job and when he asked about my flight. I smiled thinking of that beautiful face. I forgot Dad and was thinking of her. I was scolding myself. I should have kissed her lips.

I missed the chance. But She must have killed me by then.  Dad was clearing his throat.

Dad "Something is fishy?"

Aden "No there's nothing like that. It was really a tiring flight."

Dad "And?"

Aden "And nothing Dad. You are concluding something else."

Dad "I know you very well Aden. Do you really think you can hide anything from me?"

He was right. I had never hidden anything from him. He had always been so close to me. I had always shared my secrets with him. Except for the incident of My first interaction with Melody.

He just knew that I had fallen in love with someone but he had no idea about the girl.

Aden "Yeah. I have met someone. But I know nothing about her yet. Please don't ask too many questions. I will tell you everything later on."

Dad "I knew it. Finally, You found her."

I was wondering how he knew about that.

Aden "I didn't tell that it's the same girl."

Dad "I know you, my boy. Your smile is telling me everything about your heart."

Aden "Okay okay Stop it. How do you do that? I really wonder are you a mind reader?"

He was laughing at that. But before he replied Mom entered the room and we both were silent.

Mom "So your private conversation started again?"

Mom always had trouble with our secret-keeping strategy. Mom was sitting with us then and was telling me how carelessly Dad was living in previous days. He even started smoking.

I was really worried hearing that. I knew my Dad very well. He always had hated smoking. But Dad was so clever he immediately changed the topic and started the usual irritating topic for me and that was none other than my marriage.

Aden "Mom Please don't start this again. I am not ready for it."

Mom "You need to settle down son. You are going to join the company. Despite that, you need someone for how long you would be living like this. Xavier doesn't listen to me but at least you should take me seriously."

Aden "Mom I have no concern with him. I am not ready and I have told you about that a thousand times. "

I never liked my comparison with Xavier. I got up and was heading towards my room when Someone hugged me tightly enough to break my ribs. It was none other than Jason. I wasn't in the mood for his jokes but I understood his excitement.

I smiled.

Jason "Finally someone of my age in the house. Really the house was boring."

Aden "You mean our parents are boring?"

Jason "No Bro. But you know that boyish talk was missing. I had no one to discuss my issues. But finally, you are back now. You would help me out in my matters."

Aden "what issue? Is there any problem in your College?"

He was smiling

Jason "Not at all. My girlfriend's problem. I am sure you would help me out in this."

Aden "You should consult Xavier for this. I have no experience in this field you know."

He started laughing

Jason "You were staying away from home for years and you want me to believe that you were single? "

Aden "I am not joking. I am serious."

Jason "Really?"

His expressions changed and  He came near me and whispered in my ear.

Jason "Is everything alright? We can visit a doctor. Your problem can be cured."

I pushed him back.

Aden "Shut up. I am going to meet my friends. Stop saying nonsense."

Jason "Okay but do tell me if you need any help. I have solutions for your problem."

Before I reacted he ran away from there. I smiled and went back to my room. I got ready and after saying bye to Mom Dad I went away to meet my friend.

I was waiting for my friend Harry. Meanwhile, I saw Melody trying to open a car door. But her hands were holding so many shopping bags. I immediately went near her. My luck was bringing me near her again and again.

Her beautiful face made my day.

Aden "May I help you, Mel?"

She turned her face towards me and a wave of anger started emerging on her face.

Melody "You are following me?"

Aden "No I wasn't but that's a good idea."

She didn't say anything and was trying to open the door. I didn't know where was her friend. But It seemed like she had bought the whole mall.

I immediately opened the door for her and after throwing the bags in the back seats of a car she closed the door. she was about to move towards the driving seat but I held her arm.
