Tightening his grip around me, Liam led me towards his mother's chamber. I looked insensible and unresponsive as we strode down the hallway toward the direction of Ashley's room. I couldn't think straight as the only thing clouding my mind was fear and keenness to know the answers to what just transpired in my room not a minute ago.

Standing in front of the door of Ashley's room, he closed his eyes as he murmured some words before the door slightly opened on its own. His action didn't surprise me anymore because this is not the first time that I have seen him do that and with them being witches anything is possible. Swallowing hard, I released the breath that I was holding before entering inside with Liam.

"You came!" Her words startled us, especially me, because it looked like Liam had already felt her presence. He is too smart and observant.
