"Always remember that the goal of this event is to prevent someone from dying, and whoever got the highest points... will be privileged to study in our school and get to open this mystery box sponsored by the Domina!" The speaker announced. I listened attentively while eating my ice cream that Eula gave. I was about to take another bite when a tennis ball passed my way, almost hitting my head.

I gasped and look for Eula.

"Eula? Eula?" I don't know but when I sense danger, Eula is always there. She's always there to make me feel safe.

"Who did that?!" Eula stomped towards my way and wander her eyes around. I spot two boys holding a baseball bat while smirking in my way. I think Eula spotted them too as she marched her way to them.

I followed her but was instantly stopped when someone grabbed my arm.

"Did you enjoyed my surprise?" I gritted my teeth when my eyes made eye contact with a pair of forest-green eyes. He looks so dangerous right now.

"I hope you rot in hell," I said and punched him straight to his nose. Serves him right. I heard him cursed right away as he threw a death glare towards me.

"What's happening here?" I froze in my spot when I heard a familiar voice approaching us.

"Weakling?" I asked with a frown. He glared and motioned me to shut up.

"Froze..." That Supreme Stupid Council mumbled.

"Beau..." That weakling guy answered back. So Froze is his name, huh?

He glanced at me with his ocean-blue eyes before looking back at Beau. I don't know, but I somehow feel safe.

"It's none of your business. We're talking." Beau said irritatedly. My mouth hangs open. This man!

"Talking?! You're harassing me! You even tasked someone to-"

"Shut up!" He shouted. I flinched and closed my eyes. But opened it when I felt someone towered over me.

"Talk to her like that one more time and you're dead," Froze said coldly.

"I think we're forgetting some rules here, Froze. I'm the Supreme Council here and you're just a student. Watch your words." the latter answered back coldly. I wandered my gaze and walked slowly, escaping from their sights. I don't know what the hell is wrong with them.

"You're forgetting something too.." Froze smirked which made Beau grit his teeth. I watched my steps as I slowly walked out from them. I was about to run when-

"Where do you think you are going?" Both of them said in unison.

"N-nowhere?"  I closed my eyes and blinked a few times.

"Florence? The judges are looking for you! I thought you went back to your line already? I already took care of them don't wo-" I immediately ran to Eula and hid on her back.

"Waaaaaaah protect me, Eula.." I mumbled.

"Why? Are you okay?" I pointed to the two guys and buried my face on her back.

"Go back to your line now." I nodded and ran towards my designated line. Thanks to Eula, she just saved my life!

My heart is still beating fastly because of what happened. I did the inhale and exhale routine before readying myself for the next one.

I watched attentively as number one flashed through the screen. It was different this time, they were in a dark room... with a girl who's wearing a red gown and holding a rope.

"S-stop! What are you doing?" she tried to console but the girl just ends up dead. The same goes for number two, four, five, and seven. They're right. We have no clue as to why they want to kill themselves so how are gonna persuade them to stop?

I move forward and proceeded to the blue room when it was my turn. I'm gonna lie if I'll say that I'm not nervous.

The same scene happened. They attached something to my head and the next thing I know was I'm inside that dark room with that lady.

"W-who are you?" she asked.

"My name is Florence.." I said softly.

"Leave." She said coldly and motioned to the door. I shook my head as my eyes accidentally landed on a specific thing--- a knife. It was placed above the table next to the door. My insides were feeling it... the thrill... the adrenaline.

"I said leave!" I raised both of my hands in surrender and slowly walked towards the door. When I was near, I grabbed the knife and ran towards her, cutting the ropes in the process.

"What the fuck are you doing?!" She said angrily.

"Saving you," I answered.

"No! Give me the knife!"

"Stop destroying yourself more. Life has more to offer than you have seen."

"You know nothing! Give me back the knife!" she uttered angrily and stomped her feet towards me. I hid the knife at my back and rolled under the bed.

"Get back here, bitch! I'm so going to kill you!" I opened the door and was greeted by peals of laughter and Christmas trees. A happy family to be exact.

They all stopped and looked at me with wide eyes. My mouth fell open as I closed the door once again.

"Why.." I looked at her with sympathetic eyes. I finally understood what she's feeling.

"They locked me up... they said I'm the black sheep of the family... they said I'm worthless." She said while tears are streaming down her face.

"You are not. That's what they wanted you to believe, but you are not.."

"Stop, I don't need your sympathy. You can leave now." She said coldly and motioned to the door.

"I understand you... I swear I do... please don't be too harsh on yourself. You are beautiful, you are worth it.." I said softly.

"If you're saying that because you don't want me to die, then you're no different at all."

"You're wrong. You can die if that is what you wanted, but I want you to die peacefully. Always remember that what they say does not define you as a person. Be blind if you need to, and be deaf if necessary." Those were my last words before I left her in that room, alone. Sometimes, ignorance can be deadly.
