CHAPTER 13

"HAPPY BIRTHDAAAAY TO MY ONE AND ONLY WITCH!" I shouted and pulled the confetti.

"I thought you forgot..." she said and went to gawk at the cake.

"Duh? Me? Forget?" I asked in a mocking tone. She ran to me and engulfed me in a big hug.

"Thank you, bitch... I really appreciated it!" she said at me with teary eyes. I hug her in return.

"I have a gift for you!" I smirked mischievously and pulled the purple box from my bag. Her eyes roamed at it curiously as I gave it to her.

"Open it!" She caressed it thoughtfully before untying the silver ribbon. I slowly watched her reaction as she opened the top part of the box. And when she finally opens it,

"Hahahahahahahahahahahahaha!" I burst laughing.

"What the hell? You really claimed me to be a witch, huh?" she said with a hint of humor in it.

"A book of witchcraft, really, Florence? How much money did you even spend for this?" she said and scanned the pages of the book.

"four hundred dollars, I think?" I said. Her eyes widened and did to me what I always do to her--- pat my head with a fist.

"YOU SPENT FOUR FREAKING HUNDRED DOLLARS FOR THIS?" She exclaimed. I frowned and nodded.

"Yeah? What's so surprising?" She facepalmed herself and stood up. She went to me and hug me while I was sitting on the sofa.

"Why are you always hugging me? I haven't take a bath yet." I complained.

"You don't smell bad at all," she said and dragged me along with her towards the huge cake. Her eyes are again was filled with amazement.

"Thank you again, Florence. Thank you so much for this," she said. I rolled my eyes, what a cheesy witch.

I secretly grabbed a handful of cake and hid it behind me.

"Eula?" I asked innocently. She turned her head towards me but before she could even respond, I slap the cake to her face.

"FLORENCE!!!" she shouted furiously.

"And the cake war begins!" I announced and threw my ball of cakes that I molded to her. It spread all over her hair and body. She lividly went to the cake who's now a complete disaster and grabbed a handful of it. She threw it at me which I dodge easily. I stuck my tongue out to her as she grabbed a layer and threw it directly in my direction.

My eyes widened and my body was late to respond. The cake hit my bare face!

"Hahahaha! Serves you right, bitch." She said and continuously throw balls of cake at me. I hid under the sofa and picked some pieces of cake on the floor. I molded it into small balls and went out.

I threw it at her but my eyes widened when it landed exactly on her mouth. I saw her gulped which shocked me.

"That wasn't supposed to happen! Those cakes are dirty!" I shouted and started running.

"You! You better go back here, Florence!" I heard her furiously said.

That day went well. It was filled with joy and peals of laughter and of course, a mess.

My house is a complete disaster. The cakes were scattered on the ground, on the expensive painting collections of daddy, on my racing trophies displayed in the living room.

I looked up to Eula who's sleeping. She's probably tired from our cake war.

Oh! Even the garage is a disaster! Oh, God! I'm so dead!

My heart raced faster when I heard the doorbell rang. I hope it's not dad. Please be not dad. I hoped.

I blinked a few times and went outside to check who it is.

"Ma'am, sir Servancio is here already." The guard announced to me making my heart drop. Oh no!

"No! Don't open the gate yet!" I said panicking. But I was too late because they already did.

Servicio Mil's familiar rolls Royce sweptail entered, making my heart beat even faster. Everything was like slow motion when he gets off from the car. He slowly makes his way to me with a huge smile plastered on his face.

"You really waited for me, huh-" I didn't let him finish and immediately ran inside, to Eula to be exact. I knocked on the door but she wasn't answering. She's probably still asleep.

I went to my room to get the duplicate key. I went back to her and inserted it. But I was devastated by what I see...

"E-EULA?" I asked in a small voice. Her eyes widened as it fell lifelessly on me.

"F-Florence..." she muttered and avoided my gaze.

"What... what are you trying to do?" she removed the rope from her head and jumped from the chair.

"I'm sorry... I'm sorry..." she cried. I can feel the tears that are threatening to fall.

"I thought... I thought we're happy? What happened? Why did you suddenly changed your mind and decided to take your life, huh?!" I asked furiously. She went to me and was about to hug me when I took a step backward.

"I'm sorry! I won't do it again! Please... Eula?" she cried once again. And before I even knew it, my surroundings started to vanish, Eula started to vanish too... I was back in the theatre room... while tears are streaming down my face.

My mouth fell open when I heard the crowd's applause. Their claps, their cheers...

"Congratulations to our winner, Florence Mil for surviving the final round! Again, we have a winner!" the speaker announced. I roamed my eyes around expecting to see Eula... I don't understand... what's happening?

Then the screen opened, showing the silhouette of the mysterious Domina.

"Congratulations my dear, you're the only one who prevented the closest people to your heart from dying. You have survived the final round which is... the illusion. All of that... was just an illusion." she explained. I was glad to hear it but something is bothering me.

"And for the mystery box, please open my gift." I was just standing in the middle of a spotlight. I don't feel anything but pure pain... Eula... It felt real... so real. Someone in an all-black outfit approached me with a life-size box.

"That box possesses something you've longed for... something so precious to you... so open it." The Domina said. I slowly untied the box and opened its lid. But I was astounded when I opened it. My mouth formed an 'O' shape as my eyes have glistened with tears.
