“I miscarried,” I told them through sobs.

I then burst into sobs. I just wanted to get all the pent-up venom out.

I was angry at the man who had ruined two lives. By what right? Who was he? He shattered two women’s dreams. That wonderful dream of becoming a mother? How could he not care about me at all? My agitation was growing so loud I could hear my blood boiling in my ear. My pain grew with every word I spoke. The past had come back like a thick fog and darkened our faces. Anger and frustration replaced happiness and joy.

I saw the two of them speechless. Olivia tried to encourage me, but she was totally stunned and two tears were glistening in her eyes. All she did was squeeze my hand in encouragement. From the way she was holding me, it was clear that on the inside her anger was reaching its highest pitch.
