Awakening Pt. 3

After one car ride later- with a bit of shopping for flowers- Forrest and Christian were finally at the hospital, checking in at the receptionist desk.

“Hello. Welcome to Ryos Hospital. I’m-” The receptionist stopped her greeting when she noticed who it was who walked in. “Oh! Oh, hello, Mr. Riverdale. The usual visit, I’m assuming?”

“That it is,” Forrest confirmed, signing his and Christian’s name on the Visitor Log. “That and, is Dr. Franklin in today?”

“You’ve been asking him for the past week,” the receptionist noted, looking at her computer. “Luckily for you, he is in today. And he is free right now, or should be. Would you like me to call and make sure?”

“Why are we still standing here? Can’t we visit Momma?” Christian asked Forrest, interrupting their conversation.

“We will. Or at least, I will first,” Forrest answered him, as the receptionist picked up her phone to make the call. “You, on the other hand, need to be checked by a doctor.”
