Chapter 2

Ranbir's Pov

I turned around the bed and stared lazily at the ceiling in front of me. I'm so bored out of my mind today.

I picked up my phone to call my best friend Zain. But stopped when I found some texts from unknown numbers. Opening them I groaned inwardly. Fan girls who I've rejected more than thrice but they keep texting me without any shame. I blocked their numbers and called Zain.

He picks up immediately on the second ring. "What's up man?" He asked.

"Dude I'm getting bored" I said as I sat on my bed and put the cushion in my lap.

"So, should I come and dance for you?" He asked chuckling and I rolled my eyes.

"I don't want to torture my eyes, so thank you but no I don't want you to dance, can we meet up?" I asked as I stood up without waiting for his approval, I took my bike keys and walked down.

"Definitely, boys are coming too let's play some video games" he said and I agreed as I cut the call and called for my mom.

"Hey mom, I'm going at Zain's, will be back by evening" I said as I walked out of the door.

"Drive safely" I heard her say to which I smiled. I will.

Soon I reached Zain's apartment. I could hear the noises coming from inside. So, everyone's here. My four best friends since elementary.

I ringed the bell and seconds later the door swung open to reveal my other best friend Aarav standing there with only in his boxers giving me a big smile.

"What the fuck man, go wear some clothes" I said as I entered inside as I took in the scene in front of me. My all friends lay there eating snacks and watching TV.

"No, I won't, it's getting hot in here" Aarav said as he came after closing the door and went and sat beside Varun another best friend.

"Ranbir took you long enough to come man, let's start" Varun said as he got up and threw a remote controller towards me and all the remaining friends.

As I sat there, I look over all of them.

Zain was sitting beside me. He is one of my best friends among these all. We are close then I'm with the remaining ones because of he was my partner in crime till fifth standard.

I looked beside him where Abeer was sitting with his legs crossed arguing something with Varun as they fought over the French fries. I chuckled looking at them.

I looked at my other side. Aarav was sitting there still with no clothes on but only his boxers. He is a flirt of our group. Always flirting with girls whenever he gets chance. And mind you the girl can be ten or fifty he doesn't care.

I looked back at the screen as the game started and we got busy in playing the game. At intervals eating some snacks they have ordered earlier.

After some time when we had finished, we were just lazing down and talking when something caught my interest.

"Yeah I heard she is back" I heard Varun saying and I looked at his side wondering about whom they are talking about. Varun is socially active person. He has all information going around and whenever something happens, he is the first one to know.

"About whom are you guys talking about?" I asked curious as all the remaining four looked at me. Zain on the other side was smirking looking at me. I raised my eyebrows at him but he just smirked even more.

"Someone dearest" Zain said and I could hear from his voice that he is teasing me with a knowing smirk on his face. I looked at him confused and back to the boys who were again engaged in the conversation about some unknown 'her'.

"Yeah she is grown beautiful I must say" Aarav the flirt said as he made a dreamy face and I looked at him disgusted.

"Will you guys tell me whom are you talking about?" I asked them irritated and again all looked at me smirking. This time not only Zain was smirking but also all the remaining three boys.

"Your Corgi is back" they said in unison to which even they were surprised as they looked at each other and burst out laughing.

But I sat there shocked as I heard them. Corgi is back. Ahana is Back.

I smiled as I remembered our days and looked at them to see them already looking at me with creepy smiles on their faces.

"What?" I asked irritated looking at their smiling faces.

"Did Ranbir just smile guys or was it just me?" Abeer said as he smirked looking at me.

"I didn't smile" I countered back.

"Sure" Varun said as he winked at me and I rolled my eyes.

"Shut up" I said as I ignored them but deep inside, I was excited not knowing why. I looked back at the boys and they were still looking at me.

"Will you all stop staring at me?" I said irritated and fished out my phone to distract myself.

I opened the search and typed for Ahana. She is not socially active. Nor am I. That's why I didn't know about her returning back to town. She must be all grown up now and maybe she is still the annoying creepy girl like she was in fifth standard. I smiled as I thought about it again.

"Ranbir you sure, you are fine because this is the second time you smiled today?" Zain teased me and I glared at him. They are saying as if I don't smile at all.

"I heard she is grown all beautiful man; I'm definitely going to ask her out" Aarav said to the boys but I could see him look at me from the corner of his eyes.

"I also heard she has applied in our college" Varun said and I looked at him wide eyed. So, she will keep troubling me in college too. I thought as I smirked plotting the ways to irritate her.

"Wow...that's cheery on top, right Ranbir?" Zain asked with his eyebrows raised waiting for my answer. Teasing.

"Yes" I replied and nodded my head as I looked back at my phone and I could hear him whistling with his eyes on me. What's with them looking at me like that today I thought as I glared them to which they only snickered.

"Come on Ranbir, you should be excited your Corgi is back" Abeer said and wiggled his eyebrows teasing me.

"Don't call her Corgi" I threatened them and they only laughed.

"Why? I thought that's her name cause you used to call her that" Aarav said and looked at me for the answer.

"Her name is Ahana" I said as her name sounded foreign on my lips. I'm habituated in calling her Corgi that calling her Ahana sounds weird. I chuckled at my thought.

"And why would I be excited? If you guys remember she is our enemy" I said as I pointed my fingers at all of them. We all five used to prank on her till fifth standard. Not all of them but just me. They just simply used to ignore it but they were my partners in crime.

And when Corgi used to take her revenge on me, she used to take it on all of us and not only me. Like pouring hot water on all of us when we called her fat during our English lecture.

Or when she put glue in our hairs when we had gone to our school trip. I smiled at the memories. The boys still don't know that it was Corgi who has put the glue in our hairs and I also didn't say anything to them. It was better that way because I will be her only enemy.

"Guys let's go to park, I'm bored sitting here" I heard Abeer whined like a child and we all agreed. It will clear my thoughts for a bit.
