CHAPTER 26

We wanted to stay in bed all day lying there doing nothing. We'd had a couple of really hard couple of days and I didn't want to get up and do anything today. But we knew that it wasn't possible. We were still responsible for an entire pack that hasn't had a real leader around here for a couple of days.

Connor had complete confidence in his pack and he knew that they would be alright the whole time that we were gone. But they still needed a leader. Especially after everything that my father had been throwing at us lately and that he had a black witch on his side.

Witch's were mostly good, but if you knew where to look then you could find the ones that had turned to the dark side. And that's exactly what my father had done.

When we did finally get up Connor made coffee and I went to sit on the front veranda and I saw people walking around everywhere. They would bow their heads as they passed me and it made me a little uncomfortable when they did that. I didn't want them to do that
