"You know, it doesn't matter. I have to get back to training." Alpha Connor says standing directly in front of the door with his entire body and the door knob stopped moving. I could see his shadow under the door and he was stopping Luna from opening it.

"Alright then, my husband is looking everywhere for you." She says. When I hear their footsteps recede out of the bedroom and I lean back against the door and let out a sigh of relief.

I managed to get everything done and just before I was about to leave Alpha Connor's room I looked out the window and saw that they were all out in the training field on the south side of the packhouse.

Alpha Connor had to be the one giving out the orders and he was showing our pack warriors different techniques to use in battle. And his warriors were helping our warriors while doing it. The first thing I noticed about the Protectors was that they were so much bigger than our warriors. I couldn't helop but wonder why that was. Why were they so much bigger? Were we just a smaller and weaker pack? I couldn't help but watch them for a little while before I heard someone coming down the hallway and I hid behind the door.

I got the women's scent as she walked past and I knew that it was Luna so I was going to stay there until I was sure that she was gone. I didn't want to run into her right now.

When I finished cleaning Alpha Connor's room, everyone was coming inside for lunch.

I had only just made it down to the kitchen in time to start making lunch for everyone. I was moving faster than I thought possible with silver burns all over me to make steak and vegetables for everyone. Father came to the kitchen this time and didn't look impressed that I was still making lunch while everyone was waiting for it. I worked as fast as possible and left the kitchen. As soon as I was finished I hurried out of there and the servers came to get the food.

I could tell that father was really mad at me and I knew that I was going to cop it later. But while everyone was still in the house I knew that I would be safe up in the attic.

I walked over to my bed and sat on it and started to panic a little bit about my father being angry with me. I picked up my book and tried to stop myself from having a panic attack. I tried to distract myself. It wasn't easy, but it was something that I was used to doing.

I could escape in the world of these books. It made it feel like I actually had someone to talk to. Like the author was talking directly to me. How I wish I could be free like the people in these books. Be able to go outside, do whatever they want, whenever they want. Interact with people without getting beaten for it. I've never seen anyone my whole life. Not that I can remember. My father has had me locked up the whole time.

I always wonder what my life would be life if my mother was still around. But that's something that I will never know, I guess. It's something that happened and can't be changed. I am supposed to be the heir to this pack. But no one knows that I am here.

I've overheard my father talking to his Beta about the future of the pack and hoping that Luna gives him a boy that he's always wanted to take over when Father is ready to step down. I assumed that he wanted a boy and that's why I've been locked up all this time. Because I was born a girl. And a girl's place is to cook and clean. That's what Father says. And I guess it must be true, because that's all I do.

When lunch was over I headed down the attic stairs carefully and pressed my ear up against the door but I couldn't hear anything or anyone in the hallway. So I opened the door carefully and walking out into the hallway.

"So, there is someone in the attic." A man behind me said. I spun around so quickly that I almost lost my balance and the man grabbed my arm tighly to steady me. But I felt these weird sparks shooting up my arm where he was holding me.

I then got a good look at him and he was unbelievably good looking. Sandy blonde hair that was tussled around but in a way that made him look good, he was a lot taller than me only wearing work out shorts and the perfect eight-pack with the v-line disappearing into his shorts.

I stood there dumbfounded, just staring at him. My head was a muddled mess. I couldn't think straight. He was the most handsome man I had ever seen in my life. But then my head started to clear and I realised something. I was talking to someone. I was talking to another person when I shouldn't have been. I'm not allowed to talk to anyone besides Father and Luna. And I immediately bowed my head to look at my feet.

"I'm Alpha Connor. Who are you?" He asked gently.

"I'm no one." I stuttered out.

"You're obviously not no one. You're standing right in front of me." He says.

"What's going on here?" Father's voice boombed from down the hall and my heart rate spiked so fast that I felt like I was going to pass out and Alpha Connor had to steady me on my feet again.

"Who is this girl?" Alpha Connor asked.

"She's no one." Father answered.

"That's what she said. Who is she really? Who is she to you?" Alpha Connor asked.

I looked at the deathly stare that my father was shooting in my direction and I put my head down, looking at my feet again. I knew that was the right reaction to show him, but is it really my mistake? I never asked to be born his daughter. And if I could change things and have my mother here with me, then I would. I would do anything to have my mother alive. Someone to love me, someone to care for me when I'm sad, and most importantly someone to save me from this torturous hell that I've had to endure.

"She's a mistake." Father growled.

"The only mistake around here is you and that bitch you call a wife." Alpha Connor growled at him. And Luna put her hand on her chest in offence.

"Don't speak about my wife like that. And how dare you speak to me like that?" Father growled back at Alpha Connor while taking a step forward. That's when I noticed Alpha Connor's arm going around my waist and pulling me around behind him so that he was standing between me and my father.

"Why do you care so much about her anyway? She's nothing special." Father snapped at him.

"Except my fucking mate." Alpha Connor roared at him. And everyone fell silent, especially me.

  • She's Mine   EPILOGUE

We got to the hospital in record time as soon as I went into labor and I could tell that Connor was panicking. And to tell you the truth, it was driving me crazy. I was taken straight to the birthing suite that was done up, just for me. A private room with all the perfect amenities that I didn’t ask them to do but no one would take no for an answer. And Connor wanted the best for me and his baby. As soon as we got there the doctor came to examine me and he said that this baby was in a hurry. It wasn’t going to be a very long labor at all. By the time I had to start pushing Connor was really getting under my skin. “Alright, baby. You can do this.” Connor said. “No shit. I don’t really have a fucking choice now, do I?” I yelled. “It’s alright. I know that it’s just the pain talking.” He said. “No. It isn’t. You’re pissing me off. Shut the fuck up and stop touching me. That’s what put me here in the first place.” I yelled. So he stopped touching me, but he stayed right beside

  • She's Mine   CHAPTER 91

AURORA POV As soon as I came through that portal, I knew it worked and that I was home again. I came through at the same place as when I went to the other realm. And I knew my way back to the castle just fine. I started running back to the castle, but I was slower these days with the stomach weighing me down. But as soon as I started getting that really funny feeling I started pushing myself to go faster and harder. Connor was in trouble and I needed to get to him now. As soon as I got to the castle, I saw wolves running off into the forest, but Connor was at the castle. I followed my feeling and his strongest scent around to the patio, only to see him standing on it and ready to jump off of it and kill himself. I practically flew through the air to tackle him backwards onto the patio, and I hurt myself as I landed as well. It wasn’t a soft landing. I stayed there for a moment when I heard Connor get up and he gasped as soon as he saw me. I managed to get up and look

  • She's Mine   CHAPTER 90

Just as I was regaining my composure from being slammed onto the stone ground of the patio I growled as I got to my feet quickly, ready to abuse and scream at whoever stopped me from getting the only release from this prison that I had been living in. But when I turned to look, I saw the blonde hair covering the face of the person that was facing away from me, laying on her side on the ground. “Aurora.” I said, almost like I didn’t believe it. She turned her face to look at me, her bright blue eyes shining in the moonlight, looking straight at me. I dove on the ground next to her and wrapped her in my arms. I felt all over her back and her hair and the side of her face, just to make sure that she was real. “Is it really you?” I asked. “Of course it’s me.” She said. She slowly started getting up, but I noticed that she was having trouble. And that’s when I noticed her swollen stomach. “Oh my god.” I said. “How long have I been gone?” She asked. “You don’t know?” I ask

  • She's Mine   CHAPTER 89

CONNOR POV I was laying in bed next to an empty vodka bottle when someone started banging on my bedroom door. I laid there ignoring it until the door banged open and I saw Miles standing there with his new mate Emma. “Get out.” I said, rolling over. “Connor. You need to get your ass out of this bed.” Miles demanded. But I laid there, not saying anything to him. I didn’t have anything to say to him. “Alpha. You need to get up. This pack is depending on you. They need their leader.” “Their Queen is dead.” I said. “You don’t know that.” Miles yelled. “She’s been gone for two and a half months. She would have come back to me by now. She’s dead.” I said. “Maybe she just can’t find a way back. We’ve been researching how to open a portal and we’ve come up completely empty. Maybe she can’t figure it out either.” Emma said. “I didn’t ask for your opinion.” I said. “Alpha. The people need you.” Miles said. But I grabbed my blanket and I pulled it up over my head. I heard th

  • She's Mine   CHAPTER 88

It took us two days to get back to Arthur’s castle, and I was surprised to see that the damage from the attack was already fixed. His men worked pretty quickly around here. Even though it had only been two days, my stomach had swollen a lot more than it was when I killed Mila. I was actually a little curious to know how far along I was now. Because I had no idea and there was no way of telling until I got home. As soon as we got to the castle we were greeted with a hero’s welcome. It had already spread across the land that the black witch was dead. And the whole realm was rejoicing and celebrating the news. “You’re a local hero around here. Are you sure you want to leave?” Arthur asked. “As much as I think this place is beautiful, it’s not home.” I said. “I know. Come on, let’s go and see what they’ve found out.” He said. So we went inside and there were people scattered everywhere over two rooms of the castle. “Your majesty.” A woman said, bowing her head for Arthur.

  • She's Mine   CHAPTER 87

As the dragon and I were battling it out, it started to realize that we weren’t going to be easy prey. When it had been distracted long enough, Arthur and his men snuck around the side and used their swords to slice the dragon’s legs. It was enough to get it’s attention and it fell back slightly, drawing it fire back from me and giving me the advantage. I released my fire at the dragon again, hitting it directly in the middle of the chest and causing it to catch on fire. It stumbled around and back into the middle of the mountain until it fell to the ground and didn’t get back up. I walked to the edge of the cliff that the dragon had fallen over and I saw Mila and another blonde woman, dressed in black also, staring up at me. Not believing what they just saw. “Did you really think I was going to let you get away this time?” I asked. “What have you done?” The woman screeched, running to her fallen dragon. “I stopped that beast from killing me. I’m sure that anyone would
