Hayley walked into the Alpha's office to tell him about her suspicions of Conrad. She was sure he was going to either challenge Kane or forcefully take the Alpha title from him.
She pushed the door open, only to see him and Davina kissing each other.
"Do you want something?" Davina smirked after pulling away from Kane.
"No." Hayley said, then closed the door behind her and walked to her own room.
Kane entered shortly after. Out of anger, Hayley punched him in the face.
"Save whatever sorry excuse you have."
"I'm sorry, she came onto me."
"And you allowed it. But honestly Kane, what games are you playing? Do you truly want me?"
"I do."
"Could have fooled me, because it doesn't seem as if you are too thrilled about having me as your mate."
"Please don't say that."
"Just, go back to her and forget about me. You should be glad I have this much control because any other wolf would be ripping that girl apart."
