As Hayley slept comfortably in Kane's room, he was busy in his office. Going through emails sent to him from another pack about the rogue wolves that are still on the loose.

After responding, Kane turned to stare out the window, to watch as the rain poured down.

He had always enjoyed the rain, because it brought him calm, and even with that. It always brought on a raging erection, but he smiled to himself, knowing that h know had a mate he could bury it in.

He took a deep breath, taking in the smell of the wet earth, while enjoying the chill in the air that follows.

All of a sudden, he stiffened when the familiar scent he came to hate hit him.
