Chapter 24 - Zara

Sasha's P.O.V.

Two weeks later

I've been awake for a little while, listening to the sounds of the ocean outside while Tatum sleeps. We returned to the Hamptons a couple of days after my rapists went missing. Detective Bell said there was a warrant out for their arrest, so they must have gotten spooked and run. I told her to let me know when they found them. So far, there have been no reports of their bodies being found in the Bronx.

"This is the life." I almost jump out of my skin when I hear a voice. I look all around but don't see anyone. Tatum wakes up and looks at me with confusion.

"Are you okay?" he asks.

"I thought I heard a voice." I hear giggling, and I look around frantically. Where's it coming from?

"It's me, silly. I'm your gorilla, Zara." I fall back on the bed and start laughing.

"It's my gorilla, Zara." Wait. I have my gorilla? Tatum laughs at me as I freeze.

"That's great. Now you'll be able to mark me and shift." I turn to him and squeal with excitement.
