Harold spoke with so much hatred that the dining room shook with his voice.

Regina and Caleb looked helpless and wary as well.

“Everyone is talking about the new President. Have they gotten Heidi's consent yet?” Regina murmured.

“We know Heidi is capable, but…” Caleb looked down, leaving his words hanging.

“You see, Dad!” Harold hollered, his tone filled with ridicule. “Even Heidi's parents don't think she is up to the task! For once, they speak something sensible!”

“It is written all over your faces!” Harold laughed.
