Chapter 23

Immediately we got there, I was separated from Lilly and pushed into a room to begin. I had to take a quick shower, the makeup artist was already beating my face and the hair stylist started at the same.

I was given a simple elegant look, with red bold lips, my hair super straightened with brown highlights.

I slipped on my silver backless dress with a thigh-high split, and silver shoes to match, then was finally allowed to look in the mirror and when I did I was blown away. I looked like the sophisticated chic version of myself.

A knock was heard on the door, “Come in”, the designer said.

Arthur walked in. We both stared at each other, eating up the look, not moving until the makeup artist coughed, and my eyes snapped away from his.

“We’re heading out now, enjoy your dinner”

“Thanks”, I called after her, and she closed the door behind her.

I could never get tired of seeing Arthur in a suit, right now I felt like the luckiest girl on earth.
