Ever since my mother died, my whole life changed for the worst. My father was devastated and I was sure I would lose him too.

The mate is a sweet blessing to be bestowed among two wolves but it can be a scary thing when the other person dies.

My father lost the will to live and almost died from depression.

It was scary for me as a kid to see him like that. He had lost the will to live. But one day, he suddenly came back with a woman claiming she was his second chance mate.

He looked happy and so was I. It was good to see him willing to live again. That meant one of my parents would be there for me.

But boy, was I wrong.

My dad… he was a good dad, only he was so inattentive, he wouldn’t know if I was being killed under his roof. I was hurt by the fact that he had left me in the hands of his vicious mate. Leaving raising me up to her and she did as she pleased with me.
