61~ Mating Ceremony

“Are you sure about this?” I asked Renata for the umpteenth time as I drove to the Alpha’s office at the pack’s headquarters.

He rarely used that office and only used it if outsiders came into the pack. Apparently, Michael had come to turn himself in and he wanted to see Renata.

I glanced at her from where I sat in the driver's seat and saw her bite her bottom lip.

“I’m sure. I want to see him.” She responded, her eyebrows furrowing. "I want to ask why he did what he did. He could have just run away instead of participating in Ramsey’s scheme.”

I sighed, manoeuvring the car into the parking lot. The headquarters was a simple two-storey building holding offices for ranked wolves and conference rooms for meetings. Most of us didn't use these offices unless it was necessary.

I jumped out of the jeep and rushed to the other side of the car, opening the door for my Queen. She had learned to let me open the door for her and I did it happily.
