I was still reeling from the bomb Natalie had dropped on me when the head of the council of elders called me.

My brows furrowed as my eyes flickered from my phone screen to Natalie wondering if she was the reason he was calling.

She averted my gaze and I realized she had alerted the elders already and they were calling to put me on the spot.

A low growl rumbled from my chest, my eyes flashing dangerously as I narrowed them at the female in front of me.

Quite a cunning she-wolf she was. I was wondering why she had been missing in action for the last two weeks, so this was her plan all along.

She wanted to trap me into a union with a pup and she alerted the most powerful group to force my hand.

"Aren't you going to answer the call?" She asked innocently.

The phone stopped ringing but started again a few seconds later.

I felt a wave of anger rush through me as I answered the call.

"Elder Elric," I greeted him through gritted teeth.
