EPISODE 29 – ALPHA RAGNAR

I was gasping for breath, chasing after my own lungs, as cold water streamed down my face and dripped from my soaked hair onto the floor. All around me, I could feel the trembling of the slaves in the kitchen. They stood frozen in fear, as if paralyzed, squeezing themselves into the corners as much as they could. The dining hall, which had been deafeningly loud just moments ago because of the overly energetic warrior beasts, was now dead silent. Not a single sound reached my ears.

I had almost drowned. If the beast hadn't shown up, I would probably be dead by now. But maybe, that would've been a better way to die. Drowning is less brutal than being eaten alive, I guess.

"Let me help you."

I heard a voice as the beast named Ragnar stepped forward. He bent down slightly, reaching out one of his thick, veiny hands toward me. I just stared at it, unsure whether or not I should take it. But before I could decide on my own, he grabbed my left hand and yank
