The raindrops slapped against her back as she bent, digging out logs of yam. She was alone in the farm again as instructed by the king.

Leilani stood up straight, stared around the large farm. She was drenched in the rain but that was the list of her problem. Slowly, she looked up at the king's window and saw him standing there, probably glaring down at her.

She stared back, not minding what the punishment would be later on. He was like a huge black shadow; a golden stature.

Her axe fell off her hand when she felt something invisible crawling into her head. She held her head with both hands, still staring up at the window. "Leave me alone. Please. Please. Don't kill me." She pleaded, her tears mixing up with the rain as she wept.

"For you... I'd go to the extremes. I'd punish you for disobeying me in different ways."

A voice said in her head.

Leilani closed her eyes and sat on the ground flowing with flood. "Please... don't kill me..."

"Stand up and continue working!" Hugo suddenly barked from behind. He pulled her up roughly, glaring hard at her.

"He's gonna kill me..."Leilani gasped, staring at Hugo. "Please... don't let him."

"What are you talking about? No one is here. Work!" Hugo instructed.

Suddenly, the strange feeling left her and when she glared up at the windows again, he was gone from the window.

"You will incure the wrath of the king if you continue like this." Hugo warned before leaving.

Leilani panted and picked up her axe. She was shocked and scared. Tarzan was not only a king, he was a powerful one. He had abilities. Abilities that would destroy her...

The Alpha stood under the running water, staring at the wall mirror in front of him. His bright blue eyes stared back at him.

Suddenly, just behind him, he saw something forming from the mirror. He stared intently at it and few minutes later, he saw the wolf, hovering around at his back.

Tarzan's eyes dimmed as he stared deeper into the mirror. When he turned to behold the real creature, he saw nothing.

He ran his palms over his hair, a little bit confused. Strange things were begining to happen lately.

And he was getting real pissed off.

After stepping out of the washroom, he went to his room, dressed up in his regalia and left the room.

Outside the door, his two guards followed immediately.

"Get me Costanza." He turned slightly and ordered. Pavo took off immediately to carry out the order.

King Tarzan got into the throne room and met three of his cabinets waiting for him.

They stood up immediately he walked in, bowed until he was seated.

"I don't remember asking any of you to be here this morning." Tarzan's deep and cruel voice sounded.

"Yes my king. We know perfectly well my king but there are some pressing issues we have to bring your notice to." One of the elders, Jonah said, keeping him s eyes down.

Tarzan lifted his eyes enough to stare at the ground in front of him. "Go on."

"Some men fought outside the border yesterday. There are dead bodies all over the border, my king."

Tarzan then stared at him, his eyes searching the space around him. "Outside the border. Did the enemies get into the kingdom?"

"No my king. They couldn't get yhr chance to because they were attacked from outside."

"Send orders to bring in the dead bodies for identification." Tarzan ordered.

"Yes my king." Jonah replied, his head bowed.

An old woman walked into the throne room and made her way towards the king.

"Leave us." Tarzan said to the men. They quickly bowed and left.

The old woman spread a mat in front of the king, bowed and sat down. "Here I am Alpha."

King Tarzan stared down at her, a frown on his face. "Something strange has been happening, Costanza. What's wrong? You are the seer. Aren't you suppose to see forthcoming things?"

"I'm sorry my king but none of the revelations has been clear. I see the strange shadows around you and some unclear animals. I don't know what it means yet but very soon, I shall find out."

"What's your take? What do you think is happening?" Tarzan asked again.

"The Alpha added to your name is not just a title, my king. There's more to it. You have some abilities you are yet to find out about." Tbe old woman said.

"You may leave." He said with deep breaths. The old woman left and Tarzan slowly rose up from his throne.

He walked towards a door, opened it and walked in. He walked past several doors and got to a long stair case. It was dark but he knew every step, every bit of the floor he stepped on.

He finally stop in front of a black giant door with a chain holding up against the wall. Tarzan unhooked the chain and slowly opened the door.

It was darker inside as he slowly stepped in. He touched the wall, searching for light switch. A low blue light came on, bringing a little light in the room.

He walked further into the room and stopped in front of a bed.

There, a woman laid with her back against him. He stared down at the unmoving figure with his forehead creased with a deep frown.

He walked towards the window, lifted the heavy drapes of the curtain. More light flooded the room and Tarzan glared back at the bed.

"What do I have to know about myself? Is there something I don't know?" He asked, returning to the bedside.

Silence.

"You are not dead. At least not yet, so you have to answer me." Tarzan's voice was murderous, cold beyond imagination.

More silence flooded the room.

Tarzan marched furiously to the door and just when he grabbed the door knob, he heard a movement from the bed.

"Tarzan..." A shaky slow voice rose from the bed and Tarzan stopped, turned and started heading back to the bed.

I ask again."Luca swallowed hard, still moving backwards on the ground. "I was attacked." The girl nodded, still coming nearer. "Or are you one of those who has been sent to kill me?" Luca frowned. "No. You said it yourself that I almost died and besides, why would anyone want to kill you? Who are you and what is a girl in your condition doing in a terrible place like this?""So much questions. Are you a spy? I was right after all. I saved your life so it would be really ungrateful if you do anything to me."Luca forced himself on his feet, holding on to one of his sides. The cranky old bed made some sounds as the woman on it moved, her back still turned against the world. Tarzan stood behind her, glaring down at her, his hatred showing in his blue eyes. "The shadow, wolf... everything. What's happening? Why am I suddenly seeing these things?" "She's here." The unsteady voice sounded from the woman on the bed. Her voice sounded old. Weak. Dry. "Who's here?" Tarzan asked with a snort, his eyes having that look of deep hatred. "She's here. Your special abilities are finally coming to you." Tarzan stared on, expecting her to say more. When he heard nothing more from her, he walked to the door. "Tarzan." The trembling voice called again. Tarzan stopped at the door, slowly turned to take a look. "Get me out of here." "Not even in your dreams is that gonna happen." With that, he opened the door and left the dark room. He walked back into his chambers, took off his clothes and had another shower before walking to the table to uncover his dishes. He

  • Sold To The Alpha king   Chapter 13

Leilani crouched down in her cold dungeon, her arms around her legs with her eyes staring up at the dark and old walls. Memories after memories swept past her. She'd been a princess with little or no choice of her own. She was always ordered around, told whom to walk with and whom to hate. At the early stage of her life, she'd come to know that she was betrothed to someone; a prince. Someone she doesn't have the slightest feeling for and she'd left the palace because of him. She couldn't bear it anymore, seeing him being so possessive over her and so commanding. And now, she'd become a slave. A slave to someone she never thought she'd see again; someone she hurt badly unintentionally. Leilani sighed and reached for back and groaned out in pain. She was in the biggest pain of her life. Her back ached badly that it brought tears to her eyes. Suddenly, she noticed a movement from the corner of her eyes and when she turned to take a look, she saw a huge black snake crawling right t
