3 In Her Groom's Pack

Alvina saw that in the throne room, there was an unfamiliar, ripped man with raven black shoulder-length hair that was tied into a small bun. His deep blue eyes scanned her from head to toe as she was escorted by her smiling bitch of a half-sister.

Why wouldn't she be happy? She's not the sold daughter whose life and death rested on the breeding of a male child for the ruthless Alpha Ryder.

Alvina knelt down before her stepfather and did obeisance. Her face was concealed by a beautiful silver face veil, so no one saw how unhappy she was underneath it.

Gabriella helped her stand up and guided her to the left before making her kneel before the stern-looking Delta.

“Lowly Princess Alvina greets Delta Johnson,” Alvina said in a forced sweet voice.

The Delta nodded at her words and stood up from the chair, “Rise!” he commanded in a brash voice.

“Thank you, Delta Johnson,” she said gently as Gabriella helped her get on her feet.

“Take off your veil,” he commanded again.

“I'm sorry, Delta Johnson, only my groom can ask me to do so,” she replied while staring at him with resolute eyes.

“I see,” the Delta turned to face Alpha Austin with eyebrows cocked, “This is the daughter you raised?”

The Alpha King sheepishly laughed, “Hahaha! Don't mind her. She's just joking, right Alvina?”

Alvina nodded. If she didn't agree, he wouldn't mind asking the Delta to hurt her.

“Delta Johnson,” she chuckled, “I was just pulling your leg. Sorry.”

“Haha,” the Alpha King laughed, his eyes forming crescent moons, “ My baby girl can be impish sometimes but... she's a good girl.”

Alvina nodded her agreement with his words, also chuckling elegantly before taking off her veil gradually.

On seeing her beautiful face, the Delta nodded his satisfaction and asked her to put on her face veil again, which she did.

He then cleared his throat and stared at the Alpha king, “ She's no longer your relative. You will not by any means try to find out how she's doing, or else you will have to prepare for a massacre.”

Alvina saw how her stepfather wore an affectionate face while nervously laughing, waving both hands, “Hahaha, Don't worry. I know your Alpha will take good care of my daughter.”

She internally scoffed. What a fake man!

The Delta harrumphed and told Alvina to follow him, unaccompanied by anyone.

Alvina rose up without Gabriella's help and ran after the man while trying to maintain elegance. These damn shoes were really tight, plus the Delta was a tall man, so he took long, easy strides which she struggled to keep up with.

He eventually led her to a black and gray Hilux which carried an adorned black cage. She wasn't surprised when the Delta let down the tailgate and told her to enter the cage before the eyes of the onlooking Blood Stone pack members.

She smilingly leapt onto the back of the Hilux and stylishly entered the cage and sat.

After which the Delta, whose hands were covered in black gloves, locked the cage with a big padlock and even put thick chains around it.

Then he entered the vehicle and ignited the engine, immediately zooming off towards the entrance of the Blood Stone pack. Because of his wild riding, Alvina was propelled to hold on to the silver-coated bars of the cage, her skin coming in contact also with the silver chains.

Werewolves don't like being near anything containing silver because it hurts their skin and weakens them. This silver cage was a testimony that she meant nothing to her soon-to-be husband. After a while, Alvina passed out due to the silver weakening her a lot.

Hours later.

Alvina woke up with a splitting headache. She sat up on the luxurious bed after seeing that she was in an unfamiliar environment.

Her eyes scanned the room which was larger than the one she stayed in for over three days back at her old pack. This room had many luxurious items she'd never even seen before.

There was the incredible smell of Ylang-ylang in the room but it did nothing to calm her much. She was now in her groom's pack. She would be meeting him soon and then…

Her thoughts were interrupted by the door suddenly opening.

She turned her head to see who it was and saw it was a short, petite pale-skinned pretty woman.

"Breeder, you're awake," the woman stated, shocking Alvina.

This woman referred to her as a Breeder. Was it to remind her of who she was and that this luxury she was in was short-lived? If so, she was undeniably successful.

“Um... Hello,” she greeted but the maid interrupted her speech.

“Breeder Alvina, it's good you are awake. It's time for you to meet the Alpha King. You better act smart or you will lose your head even before the 30 days count.” the maid warned.

Alvina nodded, “Um... please, may I...”

The woman cut Alvina short, saying, “I'm Deliana, your personal maid. Now get off the bed. We have no time to waste,” she said, “I've already notified the Beta. The appointed men will be here to take you away soon,” the maid informed.

She was surprised to see how her personal maid spoke to her with authority, but she wouldn't invite trouble to herself too soon by speaking harshly at the maid.

Alvina quickly got to her feet but unexpectedly fell to the floor like a sack of grain.

“Oh, it must be the effects of the silver.” the maid chuckled but made no attempt to help her stand. “ You have 5 seconds to get on your feet or this,” she said as she hit the floor with the whip that was wrapped around her waist.

Alvina had previously thought that it was a belt. Now that it was unleashed in full view of her, she saw this thing even had spikes on one end.

With difficulty, she managed to stand and headed to the bathroom with the so-called personal maid following.
