Chapter Eight

Ariel was relieved that the ball successfully went well, if not, she knew Alaska will definitely kill her, she remains silent in the car throughout the journey back. With Alaska beside her, she dares not breath too much.

 She has lots of questions she needed answers to, but she doesn’t dare to ask. She wants to know why her marriage was registered with Alaska as her husband and not Jack, she wanted to know where Alaska kept Jack or probably buried him, she wanted to know how Alaska knew an unknown person like her. But how was she supposed to bring that up before the ruthless Alaska?

She doesn’t even dare to look at him, talk more of asking him questions. And Alaska’s facial expression right now is not friendly; his facial expressions are never friendly anyways, so, Ariel just kept silent like the dead. 

She could sense the temperature in the car increasing as it seems Alaska was staring furiously at her, she blinks fearfully and dare not look at him, but she could feel his stares on her. 

“Have I done something wrong now? I thought I had scored a point with him with the success of the ball” she grew anxious with Alaska’s stares directed at her. She feels hot with the Ac blowing in the car, she ceases her breathe and almost drop dead before Alaska breaks the dead silent.

“You must be okay now that you have confirmed yourself” 

Ariel blinks, wondering what he meant. 

“Now that you know that I am your husband, are you going to run away again?” he stares at her curiously. 

“I... I don’t intend running away” she manages to reply him without looking at him. 

“Really? You should run away if you can” he smirked wickedly. Ariel wonders what he meant by that, she also knew she will not be able to run away from him now. 

The car went silent again, Ariel thought they were going back to the estate, but it was another way, she panicked, wondering where she was been taking this time. Then she remembered Alaska mentioning she will be punished. 

“Is he going to punish me?” she thought fearfully. But then, the car drove to the airport.

“Airport?” Ariel unknowingly let out.

“Are you surprised? Don’t you want to travel for your honeymoon?” Alaska laughs sarcastically. 

“Honeymoon!” Ariel gets shocked, she thought the word ‘honeymoon’ was over, but it seems they are still on it. Alaska could see she looks scared and he loves it, he definitely needs her, but he could not let her behave how she wanted, he believes she have to be weary of him and scared of him for her to be useful to him.

Ariel thinks her life will go on smoothly after her wedding with Jack, but her life turns out worst and will be dictated to her by an evil man who became her husband. She was leaving the country like she had always wanted, but she doesn’t even know where she is going.

Was this supposed to be a surprise or a shock, she doesn’t know.

Getting to the airport, the car was parked and they get out of car, Alaska was led by his men to his private jet. Ariel was confused; she only followed them like their maid. 

They got into the private jet with Ariel sitting quietly at a side, feeling left out until Jeffrey came to her.

“Ma’am, we will be leaving for Russian for some business” he said. 

Ariel frowns. 

“Russia!”

“Yes. You don’t have to worry about a thing; I will keep you safe. You just have to stay by my side at all times” Jefrey forces a smile and leave. 

Ariel’s face was already drain of blood, she seems to be trying to process what Jefrey just told her.

“What was that supposed to mean?” she thinks. 

“Don’t he say it is for honeymoon?” she looks pale. She initially doesn’t want the honeymoon, but now, she seems to prefer the journey to be just be for honeymoon. 

Ariel noticed Alaska went to change his cloth and all his men too, now they were not looking like the gentlemen they pretend to be at the ball, they are more dangerously looking now, ready to kill.

“Get her something smart to change into” Alaska tells Jefrey. 

“Follow me ma’am” Jefrey lead Ariel into a room to change her flowing gown. As she entered the room, she sat on the bed depressed, scared of what will become of her. 

She heard a little about Russia, she read about Russian been the home of Mafias and also read that Alaska grew up in Russia before he came to Alaska to settle and dominate it with his men. 

“They must probably be going for a war, right?” She thinks fearfully.

“If not, Jefrey will not have said those words to me” she bites her finger anxiously.

“What if I end up dying?” she regrets her life immediately. Her life has been so hard from childhood, she thought things will change for her after she grew up, but it got worse.

Ariel knew that she had no choice now, the only way for her to go is to go with the flow. She has to stick to Jefrey if she really needed to live. She manages to come out after changing into the short gown which was in the room, there were sparkling stones on the black short gown.

Now she seems to look like Alaska and his men, she was wearing black like all of them, but the stones on the dress makes her a little different. She wondered why her dress seems to have excessive sparkling stones.

She could see Alaska discussing something serious with his men, his eyes were bloodshot as he talks, emotionless. Ariel wonders what they must be talking about and what their mission is going to Russia and why she should even go with them. 

They soon land in Russia; a helicopter was waiting at the airport for them and some black BMW cars. 

“Let’s meet later” Alaska said to the other men and entered the helicopter with Jefrey, the other men got into the cars and they depart. Ariel thought she will probably go in the car but she had to go with the helicopter with Alaska and Jefrey. 

She panicked that the journey will actually be the end for her, she was supposed to be happy on her first trip but it was more like a trip to her death. 

The helicopter landed in a small building with a large compound, Alaska enter the building while Jefrey followed him, Ariel also followed Jefrey closely, she dares not slack off as she doesn’t know what will happen from there on. 

The building was actually small outside but was surprisingly a mansion because it leads to an underground, Ariel looks shock to see such a huge luxurious mansion in the underground. 

Entering into the mansion in the large hall, the atmosphere grew tensed, the hall is full of mafias, organization of mafias. Each person in the hall represents a mafia organization probably from different countries, like Japan, Russian, America and the likes. 

There was no female except Ariel, Ariel wonders what she was even doing there, everyone there was having bloodshot eyes, ready kill. Ariel, she knew she had entered a war zone.
