Chapter Ten

“Don, are you really going to sell Ariel to him?” Jefrey quickly asks him, because he did not know what Alaska was thinking.

“What did you think? Don’t you know who Vito is to me?” 

Jefrey knew that Vito is a sworn enemy of Alaska, they actually grew up together in an orphanage in Alaska, Vito is a Russian while Alaska is an American, but they were both adopted by a Russian mafia which was why they became mafias. 

And from then, they have been in competition with each other, more like Vito been in competition with Alaska. Alaska decided to leave Russia for Vito and build his empire in Alaska instead, but there was another reason he decided to stay in Alaska too.

“I know Don, but what is with Ariel and the $10million price?” 

He doesn’t understand why Alaska will put such price on Ariel like that, even if he wanted to sell her, it should not be that cheap. 

Alaska smirked, Jefrey knows not to ask anymore because Alaska has never expose any of his plan until the plan will be executed. He is not a person to trust anyone.

“Where do we go now?”

“To the casino” Jefrey understands. The Helicopter takes them to Alaska’s casino which is operated in Russia before he left Russia.

In Alaska’s private room in the casino, smoke curled from Alaska’s cigarette as he sat on the cushion chair. The room was dim, his eyes colder than a steel.

“Don, won’t you let Ariel know about her so-called fiancé?”

“Why do I need to tell her that?” he smirked angrily as he remembers that very night Jack had come to him like a strayed cat.

Flashback

Jack was an addicted gambler, he frequents Alaska’s casino in Alaska to gamble, and acquired huge debt. He was also preparing for his wedding with Ariel at the time, his debt was huge that he was dragged before Alaska. 

“Just a million dollar. That’s all I need” Jack said sweating profusely. 

“I will pay you back, I swear”

“You even have to gut to ask for more money” Jack owned Alaska half a million dollar but he was asking for a million dollar instead.

“I’m having my wedding soon, I need to take care of the expenses and my new wife too. I will definitely pay back.” Jack crawled before Alaska begging him. 

Alaska said nothing for a long moment, he leaned back in his chair. 

“And what did you have to offer beside your empty promises?”

Jack froze. Then he swallows hard.

“I... I” he stutters.

At that time Alaska was already given the condition to get married and have a family of his own to qualify for the position of the governor. Hearing about Jack’s wedding he sees an opportunity.

He draws closer to Jack who looks so fearful as he draws closer to him. 

“What about this?” Jack looks up to him. 

“What if you lend me that your bride for a year? I will make sure to return her back to you without any scratch” 

Alaska looks to Jack for answer. 

“I will cancel your debt and give you a billion dollar too” 

At the mention of the condition, Jack’s eyes widen in shock.

“A billion dollar and my debt cancelled?” 

“Yes, it’s win-win. I will give her back to you after one year without a scratch and you get your debt cancelled with a billion dollar” 

The deal was really tempting; it was a really good deal for him. He knew that even if Alaska had to kill Ariel, it will not be a problem at all, because Ariel is an orphan. 

He was not actually with Ariel because he loved her or cared for her, but only because Ariel was the one taking care of his needs and that of their relationship. She gives him money which he used in gambling, but he pretends to love and care for her, so Ariel believes he loves her.

“I agree!” he let out, his eyes sparkling. 

“Good” Alaska turned to Jefrey who was sitting beside him at the time. 

“Go prepare the contract and let him sign It. One year, no emotion attached”

“Alright Don” Jefrey left to prepare the contract.

“You can only show up after one year to get your wife back” Alaska tells Jack.

“Of course,” he did not even mind if he did not get her back or Alaska even kills her.

The day of the wedding, Jack was the one who arranged everything, he collected Ariel’s identity card telling her he was going to register their marriage but he gave it to Alaska to register his marriage with Ariel instead.

Jack and Ariel had come together to the wedding hall to get ready for the wedding but as Ariel was in the bride’s room Jack secretly left the wedding hall and texted Alaska.

“Everything is ready”

“Now. Disappear” Alaska replies.

Alaska sits back thinking about his contract with Jack, he felt nothing for Ariel but he still felt twisted inside him when he remembered she told him she was pregnant for Jack. 

He did not only give out his billion dollars but also acquire a bastard child too and Ariel decided to run away from him to disgrace him before the election board.

It wasn’t anger, it was betrayal he felt. 

He poured himself a glass of whiskey. 

“I just need her to stand in as my wife” he reminded himself. 

He thinks he might actually be good that she was pregnant, because it will make everyone believe they were really married for real. 

He knew he did not make the decision to sell her to Vito because of what she did but because of something else. Something much more important to him, she was the key in her game with Vito. 

In the mafia organization, they all knows that whoever acquires the most dangerous items will be the one in power. Alaska came to Russia purposely to acquire the Hell breach MK V (CTN) not only for power but for something much more important to him. But Vito knew of that and decided to go all the way to compete with him. 

Not only that, the CTN has been wanted by their godfather who brought them up, Vito wanted to impress him so he bids for the item. 

Since Vito wanted to beat him to it, Alaska decided to play along, he already got the information before leaving Alaska about Vito knowing about his plan to acquire the Hell breach MK V (CTN), so he had prepared for him. 

And Ariel was one of what he had prepared. 

He only pretends to sell Ariel off to Vito in the auction to set the pace himself. 

Since Vito wanted to acquire the CTN so much, he decides to help him rise the price and even have Ariel as a gift to take home. 

Alaska knew he just have to wait till it was confirmed that the CTN has been sent to Vito in his mansion before he acquires what belongs to him which is the CTN. He will neither loose the CTN nor pay a dime to acquire it, it was a good deal for him, so he let Vito have his way. 

“Don, it has been confirmed. The item has been sent by drone to the Cartel’s mansion” Jefrey reported to him. 

Alaska smirked wickedly. 

“Are they there already?”

His men had already been dispersed secretly to surround Vito Cartel’s mansion. That was what they were discussing in the jet.

“They are all in position”

“Where is he now?” 

“Mr. Vito is just entering into his mansion” Jefrey tells him.

“Is She also in?” he asks of Ariel. 

“Mr. Vito seems to like Ariel; she is with him” Jefrey replies. 

Alaska smirked; he cannot dispute the fact that Ariel will do the work he wanted perfectly. Ariel is tall, stunning, have alluring pink lips and pretty, Alaska knew Vito will not be able to resist her.

Though Ariel don’t know her mission in Vito’s mansion which will make her mission easier.

Alaska stretches his hand towards Jefrey who handed him the iPad he was holding, Alaska presses some things and it got connected to Vito’s mansion. 

“Don!” Jefrey wonders when Alaska gets to set a camera in the Cartel’s mansion. But the camera only shows Vito alone. 

“But what of Ariel?” Jefrey mutters, he has been worried that Vito might harass her. 

“She is the camera” Alaska replies.
