LucyWhere was I? Somehow, I wasn’t dead. Everything was hot and cold. I felt terrible. When I opened my eyes, sunlight stung my eyes coming through the trees. I smelled wet earth and fresh water. There was this other scent too, like compost in my nose. I didn’t recognize where I was. Why was I outside?I tried to sit up. It was so hard. Everything hurt and my stomach kept turning like I wanted to throw up. Was I going to throw up? My stomach heaved and bile burned my mouth, but nothing else. I couldn’t remember the last time I had eaten.I frowned, no. I remembered. Someone had brought me food, but after that, I couldn’t remember anything. I heard something move nearby and froze. Slowly, I turned and the bright red eyes of a dark furred wolf were staring at me. I screamed.I tried to get to away from the wolf, but the wolf didn’t try to approach me.
